remind them about the lessons presented,
in which these monuments have been
mentioned. For anything mentioned, foster
them to utter a sentence from those
lessons. Use the Past Simple Tense as
much as possible. For example:
Ana went to Piccadilly Circus with her
Dad to buy a new Computer.
Ana saw Big Ben, the famous clock.
There was a whale in the river Thames.
Jill was at Tower Bridge.
Last week we talked about Wally the Whale
in the Thames.

The students are given a text y holiday to
London , which they should fill in with the
words missing (fill-in-the-gaps). The text is
based on a story which students had an
opportunity to see. The Past Tense of
irregular verbs is being practiced (TO BE),
as well as the expression There was/were.
While the students are reading, the teacher
is writing correct answers on the
blackboard. As soon as all the gaps have
been filled in, the students match pictures
with suitable passages from the text.

Draw a table on the blackboard. Fill in the
columns with the irregular verbs being
practiced(go, see, do). Ask the students
which words collocate with these verbs,
and fill in the table. Make some questions,
as follows: Where can we go in the town?
What can you see in the park? What can
you do in the park?

The students are not copying the table into
their notebooks, but they are using the
table for pair work. Explain the activity:
students are working in pairs. They make
Yes/No questions to each other, starting
with Did you... last weekend? Yes, I did./
No, I didnt. The teacher follows their work
and listens to dialogues. The goal is the
production of everything they adopted, by
using conversational activity.
When they finish the dialogue, they report
on their classmates by writing at least two
sentences in their notebooks. For example:
Anastasija didnt go to the zoo yesterday.
She went to the cinema.
Also, they may read their own examples
before the whole class.
