The ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 is a small, quiet, and stylishly designed server that is ideal as a
frst server solution for small businesses. Unique to the industry is the marriage that is made
with the purpose-built PS1810 switch and the ProLiant MicroServer Gen8. With a form factor
that is easy to use and service, the converged solution helps small businesses drive down their
expenses, while improving productivity, efciency, and security.
The Intel-powered server ofers a secure centralized repository for all your fles, accessible to
authorized users from anywhere at any time. The server comes with ample storage space for
your ofce backup needsenabling your business to stay up and running no matter what.
Enable seamless business connectivity with the
PS1810switch
The PS1810 is a robust, secure, and energy-efcient switch. The switch series delivers the
network bandwidth required for rich-media technologies and comes packed with features that
help deliver lower TCO, simplify management, and boost productivity. With this series, you can
connect your server to your other critical network components in a seamlessmanner.
The switches come in both 8G- and 24G-port models. You can physically stack the 8-port
model, which is designed to ft on top of the ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 server. In addition, the
8-port model can be powered by upstream Power over Ethernet (PoE) for deployments where
no line power is available for deployments of powered components such as security cameras,
point-of-sale terminals, and Voice-over-IP phones. The 24-port model is rack mountable and
includes SFP ports for the fexibility of fber uplink connectivity. Both models have a fan-less
design for quiet operation, making them suitable for ofce/desktop deployments. Andyou have
the fexibility to choose between wall and under-table mounting options.
When deployed together, the PS1810 switches and ProLiant Gen8 servers deliver productivity
gains, as they are built to work in unison. The PS1810 switches will auto-discover and monitor
ProLiant Gen8 servers, making it possible to get your IT solution up and running quickly. Once
deployed, the ProLiant Gen8 servers report real-time health status to the switches via the
HPIntegrated Lights-Out (iLO) interface. This efcient interaction between the key components
of the IT solution enables a consolidated view for switch and servermaintenance.
