ANGELS MANAGER MIKE SCIOSCIA:

What was so effective about Chris Young?

Well, I don't think he was doing anything we didn't expect. But he was really efficient pitching above the zone at times, and
then he had a slider and change-up to change speeds. He just put the ball into some gray areas and we didn't square it
up very well.

On Tyler Skaggs outing...

You start off with an infield dribbler, then on the bunt there was a little miss-communication. He needed to throw the ball to
the bag, but he picked it up and didn't pick out where Albert Pujols was. Then he didn't put the curve ball to Robinson
Cano, and some things started to unravel a bit in that regard. Still, he got out of the first, and the second inning he just
couldn't get that last out. Those guys got some two-out hits and got the big lead and they held on. After that, Tyler
understood keeping us in the game. He made pitches, got on a great streak, and pitched seven innings. But the damage
was done early.
