My recent assignment was with USAA a fortune 500 financial services company base
d in San Antanio,Texas offering banking,insurance services to families that serv
e in United states of military.
I was part of production support team DMRTS,(data management return to service)
which facilitates 24/7 support for Business Intelligence Batch cycles and IT mai
tenance.My primary responsibilites were to monitor the datastage, informatica an
d scripts jobs and troubleshoot issues that might arise during production cycle
runs.
I have to provide respective resolution in order to get things back on track.
My daily job duties are not only restricted to fixing job failures but also to i
mprove the performance of any long running jobs,providing impact analysis in tim
es of any sudden outage of critical applications, taking appropriate actions suc
h as escalting to issues to application teams and to coordiante with other teams
in order to ensure proper functioning of all our applications.
Althpught I might have little exposure to development at this point of time but
i kept myself verywell versed with all required transformations,stages and dataf
low and job design aspects.

My previous project was EDW-Maintenance offshore. I was part of P&CC team (prope
rty and casuality).The Project is to Develop and enhance the Online Analytical P
rocessing System which has the details about the Auto and Property Policy Data r
elated USAA.We extract data from the operational system and convert the data and
store it in the database to generate report in the client specified format.
Here i got exposure DEV activities and created few mappings that does purge proc
ess.
