Personal Profile As a high school leaver with 3 Highers and 5 Intermediate 2s, I began attending Perth College UHI studying NC Music, in which I am currently learning several vital skills for helping me in making a success of myself. Outward of my education, I struggled to satisfy my thriving to work due to a lack of work experience, and so took the initiative to take up voluntary employment during my free time to gain experience in the workplace. This decision proved to be invaluable as I have gained essential skills such as learning to use a till, tending to the needs of customers and how to work off my own initiative. After receiving an offer to work at GAME, I learned several significant skills that continue to help me to this day.
Employment Bernardos Store Assistant Volunteer April- Sept. 2013 My main duties include: Cash Handling, assisting customers, stock checking, maintaining a clean and tidy work front, maintaining stock of shelves, taking in and labelling donations and greeting customers. Despite the small size of the shop, this is a very fast paced work environment due to the number of jobs needing done in a short period of time with a small workforce, as the shop relies on volunteers as opposed to paid employees.
GAME Sept.2013- Jan.2014 Sales Assistant During my time working as a temporary member of staff at GAME, my duties and responsibilities within the store changed. I was initially taken on as a stock boy and my main duties included: Processing pre-owned stock Taking in and booking off deliveries Ensuring products being advertised were neatly, fully stocked where it was on display Answering the phone to customers. After working quickly, efficiently and consistently for several weeks, however, my manager decided to give me a chance to show my potential as a sales assistant on the shop floor during the busy period of the new generation consoles release, and after displaying natural ability to sell to customers, decided to keep me on the shop floor as sales assistant. My duties included everything I had been doing before, with the additions of: Using tills Ensuring customer satisfaction through the likes of helping find what they were looking for, answering questions and treating each customer as an individual while doing so Greeting customers as they came in Maintaining the cleanliness of the store to the highest standard

Strengths I have the ability to think on my feet when put in under-pressure situations. I like to work as a team and I am a good team player, however, I am capable of setting myself aside from the team and complete tasks off of my own initiative when necessary. I am keen to meet new people and give out help whenever needed. I have excellent time keeping skills and can always be relied on. I strive to better myself and be the best I can be.
Hobbies and Interests In my spare time, I like to play music on guitar, bass and on piano. Whenever I can, I volunteer my free time to helping others by teaching them music as this is an area in which I enjoy putting my own knowledge to good use to help others and to advance my own skills. My other main interest is learning things about the latest technology by keeping up to date using different blogs and forums as well as discussing with my likeminded friends and experiencing products first hand.
