Dear Prospective Student

BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography & Imaging
School of Health Sciences

Congratulations on obtaining a place on the BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography & Imaging course and
welcome to the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences at the University of Ulster. You will soon be
joining us as a new student and I would like to provide you with some guidance on our registration
process.

Please note that registration is compulsory for all students.

If you are unable to attend contact the office by phone 028 9036 6098 or 028 9036 6029.

At registration you will be provided with your enrolment form and further information regarding your
timetable, online resources and reading lists.

The Student Handbook and other information for new students will be available at registration and a
range of information can be found online at the following link:

You are required to attend the University on Tuesday 17
th
and Wednesday 18th September
2013 from 9.30am to 4.30pm to undertake important induction classes. You will receive an
introduction to online resources and have an opportunity to purchase the following required
textbooks on Wednesday 18
th
September 2013.

These books will be used from Years 1 to 3

These books will be required from week 1 of Semester 1.
These are the latest version of the books and the versions that staff will refer you to. Page numbers
and content may vary with older texts

Student discount will be offered on Wednesday 18

September on campus during Radiography
induction. Payment may be made by cash or credit/debit card.

These books will be supplied by No Alibis bookstore, Botanic Avenue, Belfast

The University and School of Health Sciences feel that it is in the best interest of all students to join
student members of their chosen professional body and therefore require that you become a student
member. Further information will be available at your induction session.

A detailed timetable and further information with regard to the induction sessions will be
provided on. During these induction sessions you will have an opportunity to meet with,
amongst others, members of the Diagnosti c Radiography team.

Registration begins on:

Tuesday 17
th
September 2013. Report to room 17C26 no later than 9.30am.
