Science
Problem Statement
Ocean Pollution is a
huge problem. 80% of
pollution comes from
humans and it causes
many marine animals to
be infected and
diseased. It affects 43 of
50 (86%) of marine
animals worldwide, but
mostly in the Atlantic,
Pacific, and Mexican
Gulf.
Science
Dying of hypoxia or
strangulation
Hypoxia is loss of
oxygen
Acid rain
Noise Pollution =
beached animals
Change our oceans in
50 years.

How big is the problem?
Affects 43 out of 50
(86%) animals.
80% of pollution =
humans.
Worst spots = Mexican
Gulf, Atlantic Ocean,
Pacific Ocean.
Causes
Car and Boat
Exhaust
Oil Spills
Littering
Toxins Leaking
From Other Lakes
Make Dead Zones

Effects
Animals Getting Diseased
Death for Animals
Animals can get maimed, and disfigured
Animals can choke and get strangled by trash
Dangerous to humans
Marine animals can die from strangulation, suffocation,
hypoxia, and being poisoned

Better or worse?
Many people are setting up
foundations to help solve
ocean pollution, however
that doesnt necessarily
make it better. But over time,
these foundations can help
save the innocent animals.

Solutions
Pick up trash on
beach.
Dont litter,
ends in ocean
Be green
(Biking,
recycling, ect.)
Contribute
toward worldly
efforts
Why should you care
You should care because
animals are suffering and
dying.
The seafood we eat
could have toxins in it
that could make us sick.
20,000 people die a year
because of pollution
related causes.
Kills 1 million animals
every year.
