Objective:

To map 650 high growth Villages in 7 districts of North Karnataka & Register Micro Entrepreneurs.
Using this data Scimergent can apply its analytics and predict potential villages & potential customer
in the future.
Outcome:
The target was to map 650 Villages in 7 districts out of which we have mapped below,

Approach:
I have approached around 20 colleges through phone. Finally i got appointment in 10 colleges, then
i went there & given a corporate presentation, i have choose 3 best colleges from this list & i have
hired around 15 interns from these colleges.
Later on i have trained all 15 interns in the class room as well as in the field. Then I have assigned
them into different locations. Then i did around 40% of the data auditing to ensure maximum
quality.
Challenges
I have recruited around 4 members but after getting training they left the co. due to lack of
travelling.
Then i continued with VM alone. During my village Visit i have found one a guy called Mahesh, After
that i has tested him around 8 days in the field, I have found that he is good for doing VM. Then i
have hired him, after that he started VM in Koppal district itself. Then he referred his friend called
Ravichandra for in Bellary location. Here also i have tested him on the field. Then i have hired him.

Recruitment:
Here i have hired 4 employees in the beginning but, due to lack of travelling they have left
the co. they have worked only 2 to 3 days in the field.
We have hired some MBA guys they also left the co. because of standard of working.
Non- availability of Interns.
Some areas we dont have any colleges to Approach/hiring interns.
Thats why i could not do even single VM in 7 talluka.
Travelling & staying facility.
Many employees are left the co. due to lack of travelling, also 2 employees worked with us
because we have given them staying facility in all the places. But finally, due lack of
motivation they are also left the co..
Learnings
- I did 60 VM in Koppal district to understand the each & every questions & understanding the
level of people response in the field.
- Motivation is very important. Especially for freshers.
- We should not hire MBA guys for data collection.
- If you want to put pressure put indirectly, dont put pressure directly.
- Speak nice with all employees.
- I have understood that usually lower level people are giving more preference to salary, so
we need to give them salary on time.
- Even interns are also giving more preference to get Stipend & Project Certificate, so here we
need to check their data very carefully.
