    SPRING 2015 CALENDAR

    Except for the starting and end dates of the Program, all the other dates are subject to change.
    Any modifications would be announced in advance.



    January 7 (Wednesday)
    U.S. students: Departure from the U.S.
    January 8 (Thursday)
    Arrival in Bilbao: Airport pick up.
    January 9 (Friday)
    8:50 a.m. Reception at the University of Deusto. Meeting at Hall of Main Entrance at the
    University of Deusto.
    9:00 a.m. Official welcome. Auditorium.
    9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Spanish language placement test. Room: TBA.
    10:30 a.m. First orientation session (Bilbao and University of Deusto). Auditorium.
    1:00 p.m. Group lunch (included).
    In the afternoon Orientation visit to downtown area.
    January 10 (Saturday)
    Visit to the Guggenheim Museum. Meeting place and time: TBA.
    January 11 (Sunday)
    Leisure time. No activities scheduled.
    January 12 (Monday)
    9:00 a.m. Meeting place: Hall of Main Entrance.
    9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Tour of the University.
    10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Academic orientation session. Room TBA.
    January 13 (Tuesday)
    9:00 a.m. Distribution of Spanish language courses. Room: TBA.
    10:00 a.m. Classes start.
    January 16 (Friday)
    Excursion to historical towns in Biscay. Travel expenses and lunch included. Meeting place and time: TBA
    January 22 (Thursday)
    10:50 a.m. Official registration. Room: TBA. It is mandatory for all students to attend this
    meeting.
    January 28 (Wednesday)
    Holiday. Saint Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of the University of Deusto.
    January 30 (Friday)
    Excursion to South of France. Meeting place and time: TBA. Travel expenses and lunch included.
    February 20 (Friday)
    Excursion to Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Meeting place and time: TBA. Travel expenses and lunch
    included.
    March 6-7-8 (Friday-Sunday)
    Tour: Madrid and Segovia. The group will be accompanied by CIDE Program professors. Meeting place and
    time: TBA. Travel expenses, tickets to museums, hotel and meals included.
    March 19-20 (Thursday-Friday)
    Holiday. Saint Joseph.
    March 28 (Saturday)
    Spring Break starts.
    April 13 (Monday)
    Classes resume.
    May 1 (Friday)
    Holiday. International Workers Day.
    May 11-13 (Monday-Wednesday)
    Final exams.
    May 13 (Wednesday)
    End of final exams. In the evening: Closing ceremony. End of the Program. Meeting place and time:
    Auditorium, around 5:30 p.m. (exact time: TBA).
    *Please notice final exam dates are official and cannot be changed. Please bear this in mind when planning your stay and when
    making reservations for trips. You should plan your final departure for May 14
    th
    at the earliest.
