Level I-III -- Fill in the letters

This activity looks like a phonics activity, but it is mostly about recognizing
patterns in words. In this unit, almost every word ends in er, so this activity
helps the students notice and learn the spelling of this common word ending. Only
one word ends differently: family.
I do:
Use the teacher list of vocabulary words to review vocabulary.
Say one word. Call attention to its last letter(s)
o For example, Daugther. ErrErrE-R.
Write the last letter(s) on the line.
We do:
Have the student help you finish filling in the last letter(s).
You do:
Put away your list.
Have the student take out the student list and fill out the last letter(s)
again on their own.
