A big THANK YOU in advance to the Last Day Committee for working so hard to make our
final hours together be so great! Weve planned quite the day! Children will rotate
through centers and:

Build a birdfeeder from recycled materials
Make some smores with friends
Take a walk down the TE nature trail and look for critters
Build a tent with their group
Assemble their own terrarium
(To gather all of the materials needed for these centers, groups will have to go on a
scavenger hunt and read the clues provided. It should be an amazing day!!! )

Yesterday, scripts to our class play came home in your campers backpacks. Read
through it with them and help me remind them to use the intonation and expression we
learned about this year while reading orally. You wont want to miss this special event,
especially as we honor Mr. Ed, our retiring custodian and treasured friend.

Our March of Dimes Awards Ceremony was fantastic! THANK YOU so much for helping
your camper read, record the titles of the books, and mailing it all in to the MOD office.
What a great day it was and Im so proud of all of our little readers!

Shortly after school gets out, I will be starting summer tutoring sessions. If you are
interested in a one-on-one session in either math or reading, please contact me. I will
also be offering small-group literacy sessions as well. I offered this last summer and it
was very successful! Its a great way to prevent those core skills your child has worked
so hard on from sliding backward.

Looking forward to the week ahead,

Mrs. Cronce www.protopage.com/mrscronce
