Georgia Regents University pre-nursing students are those who have declared Nursing as their major and are
working on required core courses before seeking admission to the nursing program. Pre- nursing students will
be advised by faculty in the Department of Nursing. Pre-nursing students are encouraged to meet with
their designated nursing advisor prior to registration each semester and as need for additional academic
counseling arises. Students who declare nursing as a major and who are completing learning
support requirements are advised through the Learning Support Department. Students in Learning Support
are encouraged to meet with a nursing advisor to learn more about the nursing program and its
requirements.
