Crystal Smith is an accomplished entrepreneur of Smith Photography; an innovative

and cutting edge photography company which also uses their gifts and talents to pour
back in ministries. Crystalwas born the youngest of six children. She is the daughter
of Margaret Crosby, and the late Lee Williams. She graduated from Glasgow High
School in Newark, Delaware where she studied and completed on state level for
public speaking. While matriculating at Glasgow High School, she actively
participated in cheerleading, basketball, and track. After graduating, she attended
Allen University. She continued to pursue public speaking on tri-state level winning
several awards. She was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society in
1993 by her English professor Dr. Sandra Black. She remained very active during
her 4 years at Allen University. She served four years as captain of the cheering
squad, ran track, and took up dance under the late Harold Odom, a former dance
instructor at Benedict College. She pledged Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority Inc. After graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in English; she

accepted a part-time job at Spike Boykin Recording and Sound Studio. While
serving as the owners executive secretary, she honed her skills as a photographer.
Being in the midst of the business, she learned the ins and outs of advertising and
promotions within the music business. She married in 1997 to Vincent Smith of
Swansea South Carolina. They have two lovely children Vincent and Alecia Smith
15& 17. When her husband accepted the call to preach, she began working in the
ministry along side him assisting with the youth. Having worked with semi-
professional African Drum & Dance Group Djoli-Bidon and founding her own
dance group,Umoja; she was put in charge of the praise dance ministry. She has
taught dance for over 20 years with clients such as the after school youth under
contract for the United States Army of Fort Jackson Army Base. and across the state
for school age youth. Her credentials present her as a member of the South
Carolina Commission of Artists in Residency. She now works with the dance
ministry at the St. Luke Baptist Church in Winnsboro, South Carolina under the
direction of her pastor Rev. Jasper Lloyd. She is one of the founders of Zeta Alpha
Psi Sisterhood with a chapter in Columbia SC and a chapter in Greenville SC.
Their vision and purpose is to break the chains of generational bondage from sisters
that have endured abuse; either it was, is, or may come to be emotional, physical,
mental, or verbal abuse. Her motto is, just do it and be real about it. Real to God,
yourself, and your peers .
