A. Tree Trimming.
(1) SW Corner of Woods, by Drive. Trim the ends of low
hanging branches, 6-8 off ground.
(2) SE Corner of Woods, by 3
rd
Base Bench. Trim the
ends of low hanging branches, 6-8 off ground.
(3) Linden on W Edge of South Drive. Trim the ends of
low hanging branches, 6-8 off ground.
(4) Maple on W Edge of South Drive. Trim the ends of
low hanging branches, 6-8 off ground.
(5) Ash on Douglas by Brooklyn Blvd. Trim the ends of
low hanging branches, 6-8 off ground.
(6) Sugar Maple on Douglas. Trim off the lowest two
branches flush with the trunk. Use pruning sealer to
seal the wound.
(7) Flowering Crab by Nursery Window. Trim off the
lowest branches flush with the trunk. Use pruning
sealer to seal the wound.
(8) Spruce on N side of church by sign. Trim off the
lowest branches flush with the trunk so that there is
approximately 2 between the ground and lowest
hanging boughs. Rake needles into a ring around
the trunk, and remove all branches and debris under
tree.
(9) Three Spruce beside drive between parking lots.
Trim the same as (8) above.
(10) Three Spruce on S edge of S parking lot by garage.
Trim the same as (8) above.

B. Lawn Dead Area Replanting. Rake out dead spots in the
grass with a steel rake and collect debris. Spread 1-3
topsoil on area to level the ground and provide a good
seed bed. Seed with grass seed and water well.
(1) Between sidewalk and planting bed at W side of
sanctuary.
(2) NE side of sidewalk at the W sanctuary entrance.
Spade up dead grass and weeds at intersecting
corner of sidewalks.
(3) Edges along sidewalk of SE entrance by Memorial
Room. Fill hole by rain gutter, E side of walk.
(4) Both sides of the south drive by garage at street
entrance.
(5) Both sides of southwest drive by ballfield at street
entrance. Fill ruts and holes.
(6) Around maple tree on S side of drive by Spruce
trees. Pull plastic edging and landscape fabric out
around perimeter of the tree trunk, backfill with
topsoil and seed the area.
(7) Behind curb on W side of three large spruce
between the parking lots.
(8) Drainways into catch basin at NE corner of playfield
(outfield). Erosion gullies need to be spaded up,
refilled with topsoil, and planted. Large triangle area
between CB and S edge of north parking lot needs to
be raked bare, topsoiled an reseeded.
(9) At downspouts, E side of Multi-Purpose by Douglas.
(10) Both sides of E parking lot entrance by Douglas.
(11) Around base of Sunburst Locust on E end of island.
Pull plastic edging and landscape fabric out around
perimeter of the tree trunk, backfill with topsoil and
seed the area.

C. Remove Timber Boxes from Large Trees along Douglas
and backfill. Pull out railroad tie box frames. Mound
topsoil around base of three trees to bury roots and
provide a smooth continuation of the berms on either
side of the trees, approximately 10-15 added soil depth
and tapering away from trees. Compact soil into place,
rake out and seed the new berm area.

D. Mulch Planting Beds. Add 1-3 new mulch to planting
beds around shrubs and vegetation.
(1) Around Arbor Vitaes NW, NE of Sanctuary.
(2) Around Large Spruce N of Sanctuary
(3) N side of west entrance to sanctuary
(4) S side of west entrance to sanctuary
(5) Around Locust trees in south entrance plaza.
Remove decomposed mulch around trees to provide
2-3 of depth below concrete. Backfill with new
mulch

E. Clean out Construction Fill in Woods. WARNING: Placing
fill on the roots of Oak trees will kill them. Oaks are very
sensitive to burying roots within their drip line.
(1) Remove construction debris (concrete pieces, etc)
from clean fill.
(2) Remove fill from under Oaks.
(3) Spread fill to 6 max depth, or remove from woods.

F. Miscellaneous Clean Up.
(1) Remove tree debris, stumps, etc. from NW corner of
north parking lot.
(2) Cut down scrub trees growing up along fence line at
W edge of the north parking lot.
(3) Remove small dead Ash tree from Parking Lot Island.
(4) Move dumpster and garbage cans into new garage.
(5) Cut back limbs of Ash tree overhanging the church
building, N Sunday School wing.
Equipment Needed:

G. Garage Landscaping. Complete landscaping around the
new garage.
(1) Grade out area around the garage to fill eroded
areas and provide positive drainage away from the
building. Take care not to disturb ground within the
dripline of the large Oak adjacent to the garage.
(2) Spread 3-4 topsoil in all areas where seeding or
plantings will be done.
(3) Establish planting beds, lay landscaping fabric, and
mulch.
(4) Plant vegetation according to planting plan, and
seed lawn areas.
