NSTP Grade 5 Lesson 3: Comparing Fractions (>, <, =)

Objective: To master the use of >, <, = in comparing fractions


I. Ice breaker

Board game on fractions
Divide class into 3 groups. Let the children assign a number from 1 to the last number. Begin the
round by drawing a fraction and asking the children to write on the board the corresponding numerical
fraction of the given drawing. Call out any number from 1 to the last number and the first one to write
the correct answer gets 1 point.
