Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL) has been amalgamated with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) effective September 11, 2009. The High Courts of Bombay and Gujarat approved the scheme of amalgamation. Amalgamation of Reliance Petroleum Limited with Reliance Industries Limited
Mumbai, September 14, 2009: The Scheme of Amalgamation of Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL) with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has been sanctioned by the Honble High Court of Judicature at Bombay and the Honble High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad.
The High Court Orders were filed with the respective offices of the Registrar of Companies and the Scheme has become effective on September 11, 2009 with the appointed date being April 1, 2008. RPL now stands amalgamated with RIL.
