ATHLETIC CODE OF CONDUCT

Participation in athletics at Jubilee Christian School is a privilege. If you
choose to participate on one of our sports teams, you willingly accept the
responsibility of being a leader; both in and out of the classroom and in
other schools where we compete. You also understand you are
representatives of our Lord and school. Those who choose to participate
must make sacrifices and establish priorities.

The following guidelines have been established for those students who elect
to participate in the athletic program at Jubilee Christian School:

I agree, as an athlete at Jubilee Christian School, to:

1. Model Christ in speech and behavior.

2. Demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout games/matches by
treating opposing players, coaches, and officials, with respect.
3. Shake opponents hand, in a sincere manner, after all games/matches.
4. Be prompt to all scheduled practices, games, tournaments, and team
meetings.
5. Give 100% effort at all practices and games, so as to honor God and
my teammates. Focus on playing a good, fair game/match.
6. Accept correction and instruction from any and all authority
understanding correction makes me a better athlete and has short and
long-term benefits for my teammates and myself.
7. Represent my family, school, team and God in such a way that brings
honor to each, whether competing at home or at away games.
8. Maintain my grades at a C average or higher throughout the team
season or risk being suspended from the team.
9. Participate in team prayer at practices and games.

I have read the Athletic Code of Conduct. I understand that failure to

uphold the expectations outlined above will endanger my eligibility to
participate in future practices/contests. I also understand that these
expectations are in place to help me grow spiritually and mature
emotionally and physically.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

1. I will support Jubilee Christian School Athletics through prayer and my
presence at JCS events.
2. I will encourage my son/daughter to uphold the ideals stated in the
Jubilee Christian School mission statement as well as the Athletic Code
of Conduct.
3. I will encourage my son/daughter to submit to authority and resolve
conflicts if necessary.
4. Demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout the season by treating
opposing players, coaches, officials, and all representatives with
respect.
5. I will conduct myself at all sporting events I attend in a manner that
honors God. I understand that failure to act in said manner may result
in expulsion from event by school administrator or representative, and
possibly, future events.
6. I will not publicly disparage the coach at sporting events, nor will I
disparage him/her in my home. I will go to the coach directly and
avoid gossip, which could harm my own integrity.
7. I will be realistic about my student-athlete's capabilities and
emphasize improvement and commitment.
8. I will be a role model for my student-athlete.

I understand the purpose of the Parent Code of Conduct. I agree with

the principles set forth and I am committed to the growth of my
son/daughter while at Jubilee Christian School.
