TV1 Tanzania has today launched a competition looking for social entrepreneurs working to improve the lives of children, to mark the International Day of the African Child, 16 June 2014. TV1 is sponsoring the project, launched in partnership with Reach for Change a Swedish based non-profit organization. The competition, named Game Changers, aims to identify and support social entrepreneurs with innovative solutions for children in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Launched in Tanzania in conjunction with the Day of the African Child, the Game Changers competition is a global initiative pioneered by the MTG Group of companies. In Africa, the program has already been launched in Ghana by Viasat1 and is now being followed herein Tanzania. In the competition, TV1is inviting applications from social entrepreneurs who have developed innovative solutions to improve the lives of children in Dar es Salaam, and who are now interested in expanding the impact of their work. The 5 most entrepreneurial candidates with the strongest and most promising solutions will be profiled on season 2 of The One Show, hosted by Jokate Mwegelo and Ezden Jumanne, with one eventual winner to be announced as Tanzanias first Game Changer. The overall winner will receive a grant of USD 20,000 and the 4 runners-up will each receive USD 1,500. Along with the grants, the winning contestants will also take
