Kudler Background:
Kudler Fine Foods is a chic food store specializing in various food products such as meat,
pastries, seafood, and packaged condiments. Kudler has developed a new fiscal year sales
plan designed to reach defined future financial expectations. The purpose of such new
incentives is to not only increase sales and revenue, but to also gain a better knowledge and
understanding of their customers purchase patterns. Additionally, Kudler would like to
accommodate and implement their already designated marketing process for increased
productivity purposes (Kudler Fine Foods, 2004).

Service Request:
Kudler Fine Foods has decided to embark upon a new and improved method for
rewarding their preferred customers with an inventive concept known as the Frequent
Shopper Program. The plan behind this new program will provide customers with loyalty
points for their purchases. The customers can accumulate their points and then redeem
them for items such as upgraded airline tickets, specialty foods, and other prominent gift
items. The incentive plan will be established to encourage future fiscal sales and promote
Kudlers product line for existing and forthcoming clientele (Kudler Fine Foods, 2004).

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID):
All local and imported goods are tagged with an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag when it
enters the warehouse. Once the pallet is tagged it will go into the database to document stock
inventory. Once items leave the warehouse floor they will be scanned and that information will be
sent to the database. If an item is required or needs to be re-ordered from a vendor then the
database will notify the vendor and that item will be shipped.

All pallets will be tagged with an RFID tag.
All information about the pallet will be entered into the main database.
RFID tag will be scanned and information will enter the database and update the real-time
information.
Each product that enters and leaves the warehouse floor will be recorded to the web-based
interface.

Kudlers web-based interface will allow employee personnel to control the products
coming into each store as well as knowledge of customers needs.

All Kudler personnel will be able to input all information about either a product
or a customer.
These web-based applications will also be accessible to the customer.
To have customer input is important for Kudler to learn about customer
concerns or suggestions.
Both Kudler personnel and customers will be given a Virtual Private Network
(VPN) password for security purposes.
Each password will have certain domain a user will be able to enter.
