Exit the Happy Tails parking lot left onto South Plaza Drive, which ends at Rand
Road. Turn left onto Rand and then right onto Commerce Rd. Turn left at the
stoplight onto Deadwood Ave. At the second stoplight, turn left and continue
through the next stoplight on West Omaha Street. Stay on West Omaha, which
becomes Highway 44 after crossing West Blvd, for 4.4 miles. Bear right onto South
Valley Drive, where you will see the Animal Clinic/Emergency Hospital building.

From I-90: Exit 55 (Deadwood Avenue) South. Turn left onto North Plaza Drive at the second
stoplight. Turn right onto Rand Road. Turn left from Rand Road onto South Plaza. Turn right
into trial site.
From Highway 79: West on Omaha to Deadwood Avenue. Turn right onto Deadwood, then
right at the second stoplight onto Commerce. Turn left onto Rand Road, and then turn right onto
South Plaza. Turn right into trial site.
 PARKING
There will be no RV parking at the trial site. There is no provision for overnight
parking at these trials. Parking is limited. Exhibitors may park across the street in the
KNBN-TV lot. Please do not park in the spaces with closest access to the station
entrance. There will be an unloading area near the trial site entrance.
ATTENTION EXHIBITORS
Obedience and Rally Move-ups will be accepted in accordance with Chapter 1, Section
16 of the Obedience Regulations. Requests for Move-ups must be made in writing and
presented to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes before the start of each trial.
Rally and Obedience classes which involve jumps will be judged in jump height order
from small to tall (ascending order). A dog's rally and/or obedience jump heights must
be included on the entry form for Rally Advanced and/or Excellent Entries, and for
Open and/or Utility Obedience Class entries.
The trial site will be open for exhibitors to set up crates on Friday, February 6, 2009
from 2:30 PM-6:00PM. As crating space is limited, and much of it is located at
ringside, exhibitors are requested to set up during these Friday hours if possible, or
between 7:00AM and 8:00AM on Saturday. Those who need to set up after 6:00PM on
Friday, or after 8:00AM on Saturday, are requested to consider the exhibitors in the rally
or obedience ring by setting up between classes or during class awards. Aisle space
around the ring is limited; please keep dogs out of this area except when warming up to
go into the ring or while entering and exiting the building. Crates may remain set up
overnight Friday and Saturday. Although the building will be locked, there is no
security, and the Black Hills Dog Training Club and Happy Tails Dog Training Center
accept no responsibility for exhibitors’ crates or other possessions. Dogs may not
remain in the building overnight.
The Trial Committee, at the owner’s expense, will remove any animal in distress on the
trial grounds.
Only dogs that are eligible to be shown under American Kennel Club Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendations to assure their dogs are

NQ Drawing: Each Non-Qualifying Score will entitle the participant to one NQ
Drawing coupon. Drawings will be held throughout the trials.

A no-host dinner will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 6:30PM at the Red
Lobster. Sign up by noon at the catalog table where directions will be available.
One free catalog will be provided to each exhibitor.
A Recording Fee of 50 cents and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 are required for
each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. If a dog is
entered in more than one recorded class in an obedience trial, the $3.00 Event Service
Fee will be collected on each additional entry. (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter
11, Section 2) An Event Service Fee of $3.00 is required for each recorded entry at any
Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. These fees are to be collected by the trial-giving
Club and paid to the American Kennel Club.
Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by
Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. No
entry fees will be refunded if the Trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots,
civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God,
public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control
of the Club or the Trial Secretary. There will be no refund for duplicate entries.
PLEASE NOTE: Refund of entry fees, less a $2 per entry administrative fee, for bitches
that come in season after closing date of these trials may be obtained by sending a
veterinarian's certificate to the Trial Secretary. This certificate must be post marked
before the opening day of the show or given to the Trial Secretary before the start of the
trial.
No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as
to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees, signatures, or the
“Agreement” on the reverse side of the Entry Form. Changes, additions or corrections to
entry forms must be received in writing or by telegram prior to close of entries. Those
received by telephone are not acceptable. Refunds of $1.00 & less will not be issued due
to the costs of processing. An administrative fee of $2.00 per entry will be charged for
all cancellations or changes made prior to closing of entries.
The trial giving club, the trial secretary, their agents, employees, etc, assume no
responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any
of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.
Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for
further judging. Dogs are allowed in the rings during judging only

Friday: Match begins at 3:30PM, and will end at 5:45PM. Register

at ringside after 3:00PM.
Saturday: Match begins 30 minutes after Rally Judging has
concluded, and will end at 5:30PM. Register at ringside.
$5 FOR 5 MINUTES.

This will be open ring time. A BHDTC member will be ringside to help you set
jumps and to time your session. Limited to dogs eligible for entry in the trials, and
limited to two sessions or 10 minutes total ring time per dog. Second sessions will
be allowed only after each registrant has had an opportunity for a first session, and
if time permits..

There will be opportunity to practice stays at ringside during the matches.
