Itinerary: -

Day 1: Arrival Cochin
Arrive in Cochin and transfer to the hotel. Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at
leisure. Later on enjoy half day City tour of Cochin -Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace -
(closed on Fridays and public holidays), which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and
renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit Fort Cochin Area. Visit St. Francis Church - (closed for
visitors on Sundays from 08.00 to 11.00 hrs.) the oldest European Church in India. See the
Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living
symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cochin Munnar (135kms/4hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Munnar, arrive by the afternoon. Munnar is
a picturesque hill station situated in the eastern part of Kerala; lush green-carpeted tea and
coffee plantations surround it. The beautiful landscapes, cozy weather, and the smell of
tealeaves make Munnar one of the most sought-after destinations in South India. Munnar is
situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 3: Munnar
Today morning after breakfast visit Mattupetty dam which has an artificial lake built by a
small hydroelectric project. Echo Point is known for the natural echo affect it produces.
Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays) explains about the processing of tea and history of
Munnar and Eravikulam National Park is known as the natural habitat of endangered
Nilgiri Tahr. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Munnar Thekkady (110kms/3.5hrs)
Today after breakfast depart for Periyar by road. Arrive Periyar and transfer to hotel . The
town also houses one of worlds most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries. A visit to
Periyar also provides you the opportunity to see wildlife at close ranges, besides the varied
vegetation and a wide variety of birds. Lying at an altitude of 700-1900 m above sea level,
Periyar has a cool and comfortable climate. Out here, you can also go for treks and

mountain walks or visit spice plantation or enjoy boat ride at Lake Periyar (On direct
payment basis). Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Thekkady Kumarakom/Alleppey (160kms/4hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Kumarakom/Alleppey and arrive by the
afternoon, Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 6: Kumarakom/Alleppey
Today full day at leisure, enjoy the facilities offered by hotel take or an optional cruise on
the backwaters, Ayurvedic massage etc...Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Drive to Kovalam (175kms/ approx 5 hours)
Today after breakfast check out from hotel and depart for Kovalam by road. Arrive and
transfer to hotel. Kovalam Beach lies stretched out on the Malabar Coast, along the
shoreline of a small town called Kovalam. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy on the
beach.
Day 8: Kovalam
Today after breakfast enjoy half day Trivandrum for the city tour. Visit the famous Sree
Padmanabha swamy temple (non Hindus are not allowed). Also visit the Napier Museum
and the Srichithra Art Gallery and Zoo. Stay overnight hotel
Day 9: Kovalam Kanyakumari (90kms/approx 3hrs)
Today after breakfast proceed to Kanyakumari; later visit Vivekananda Memorial rock by
boat (on direct payment basis), Gandhi Mandapam and temple of Goddess Kanyakumari.
Enjoy the beautiful sunset. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to Trivandrum airport (110 kms/3hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Trivandrum and transfer to airport/railway
station for your onward journey.

hrs.
