I. Learnings

I have learned many things in my 240 hours of SIT. Even though I couldnt enhanced my skill as
a machinist, I still learned something that can be beneficial in my future career.

In this picture I was grinding the edges and corners of a metal for the quality and also for the
safety of those who will weld it later on.

I was assigned in hairlining a product for finishing.

I learned how to operate a bending machine. In this picture my co-trainee and I was helping
each other to bend a piece of metal.

In this picture I was grinding the surface of a structure using a flap disc to remove unnecessary
piece of metal without causing too much damage on it.

I was also assigned in applying an acid paste in the welded part of a structure. After a minute I
have to wash it properly to avoid corrosion.

And last but not the least I learned the importance of resting my body so that I can be more
productive.

I was assigned in Metal Fabrication of Adzer Engineering in Parola Cainta, Rizal. There I was
trained and developed my skill as a fabricator. I improved my grinding skill and many things. But the
most important thing is I learned how to get along with my senior that guided me in my SIT.

II. EXPERIENCE

7:00 am as always I went to Adzer Engineering. It takes 40 minutes to travel from Angono to
Parola, work starts at 8:00 am which means I have 20 minutes of time allowance. But due to a
traffic accident I was delayed so I was late. There was also time that while Im grinding, the grinder
touch a delicate spot resulting for the grinder to sent flying. I was thankful that I didnt harm my co-
workers and the grinder was still fine after that.
Ive experienced many difficulties in my SIT. Ive also experience awkward moment but the thing
is I learned from it and I became more productive because of it.

III. IMPRESSION

SIT Program

We cant deny the fact that the lack of machines and equipments in our school is
restricting the students development. But because of the SIT program the needs of the students
are being fulfilled. It allowed us to develop our skills outside the school. It also allowed us to
experience what it is like to be an employee so that when we graduate, we are ready to face the
companies and employers where we will work at.

Company

It is truly a wonderful company but as a student under SIT I have the eagerness to learn
something new and even though I enhanced some of my skills, it still gives me an unsatisfied
feeling.
