To place your own photos With the selection tool, select the existing photo frame used in the layout by clicking on it Press Ctrl+D (or go to menu File>Place) Browse and choose your photo, click open. Your photo is inserted.

The attributes tools bar is your best friend! All basic and more editing attributes are on the toolbar located on the top of your software interface. Depending on what kind of object youre selecting, you get to view its attributes.

To open more panels for Color / Stroke / Layers / Photo links / Page layout etc , go to menu Window.
WORKI NG WI TH TEXT STYLES To open Text styles panel, go to menu: Type>Character Styles. To apply existing text styles listed in the panel, select your text and click on the listed styles. To create new styles, select your text and go to :Create new style. Give it a name and click ok, the style has adopted all attributes of the text youve selected.
WORKI NG WI TH LAYERS Layers make the world go round! Keep your document tidy and in return it will make your work and life- much easier. When youre adding a new object/photo, vector or text in your document, make sure to be on the right layer. This document is layered per types of objecs, text/vectors/photos/backgrounds. If youre adding a new object etc, make sure you have selected (clicked on) the appropriate layer from the layers panel.
