FACULTY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME (SUMMER VACATION 2014)

GUIDELINES-CATEGORY-II


1) No participation fee should be collected.

2) Faculty Development Training programme should be conducted for 7 days

3) An amount of Rs.60,000/-(Rupees Sixty thousand only) will be provided as financial
assistance for the conduct of a programme..

4) An amount of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty thousand only) as advance will be released
after receiving the request from the Co-ordinator through the concerned Head of the
Department/Principal. Final settlement of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) will be released
after obtaining the following.
(i) One page report of the concerned programme
(ii) List of faculty and topics covered
(iii) Programme CDs
(iv) Participants feed back form
(v) Programme schedule
(vi) Participants attendance sheet
(vii) Consolidated statement of accounts with related original vouchers duly certified by
the Coordinator &
(viii) Utilization Certificate.

5) If the programme is cancelled, full advance amount should be returned to the Director,
Centre for Faculty Development immediately.

6) The time schedule for the programme is given below.

I Session - 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
II Session - 10.45 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
III Session - 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.
IV Session - 3.15 p.m. to 4.45 p.m.

6) Accommodation will be provided to the participants come from outstation at free
of cost subject to availability.

7) The Coordinator may be requested to prepare the brochure as per the enclosed format
and send the brochure to all the affiliated engineering colleges. A copy should also be sent to Centre for
Faculty Development.
8) The expenditure norms are given below;-

9) Total number of participants is restricted to 25 with a minimum of 20 external participants.


10) Following factors may be considered while selecting the participants.

a) Participants will be selected on first come & first serves basis.
b) Priority will be given to young faculty.
11) Minimum 5 days of attendance is required to issue the certificate. Otherwise, CFD will
not issue the certificate. The coordinator has requested to send the 5 days of attendance (Photo copy)
for preparation of certificates on 5

day of the programme.

12) The coordinator has to prepare the Utilization Certificate alongwith consolidated
statement of accounts with related original vouchers duly certified by the Chartered Accountant. All sub
vouchers should be pasted in A4 size and duly certified by the coordinator.

13) Advance should be settled within 15 days from the date of completion of the
programme.
14) It is requested to follow the enclosed format for preparing the Brochure for Faculty
Development Strictly.
15) Officials will make surprise inspection during the programme.
