HAPPY BIRTHDAY
SUMAN

Health Check-ups
It has come time to take charge of health of our kids.
We want our kids to be healthy, and happy. We have
collaborated with Shenpen Nepal and C.H.A.N.C.E.
to discuss what screenings and exams we need to
prevent worsening of kids health and help them live
healthily and happily as always.

We thank Dr. Karmapath Aryal for checking and giving
valuable tips to stay safe and healthy. He even provided basic
health/nutritional and environmental education. This camp was
held on 21
st
June, 2014.
Health check-ups can find problems before they arise and can give early treatment to
the possible health problems at the right time. We are providing our kids with good diet
and care. We are cautious and thus update what impact is going on our kids health
through such programs.

Safe monsoon rain

Happy Birthday SUMAN

This month one of our gentle
boy had his birthday. His
name is Suman Tamang. Its
been a year since he became
our family member. He was
brought from street. Now he
is safe and happy with a
family environment here in
Papas home. He studies in
class 3. He likes to play
football and loves singing too.
This was his first birthday
celebration in Papas home.
He was so happy. He thanks
VFN Papas home for making
his day so great and also
thanks Megan for the
wonderful gift. In the above
picture, he is holding his
birthday gift from Megan.

With the onset of monsoon season in Nepal, the necessity of umbrellas and raincoats becomes
very essential for everyone. Monsoon starts in Nepal from June to September. Our kids had
their all umbrellas broken. But Mrs. Thati Romancini gifted our children lovely umbrellas. Since
then the kids are protected not only from rain but also from the harmful effects from the sun
too. We thank both Mrs. Thati Romancini and Mr. Sanu Babu Ramtel for providing our kids new
umbrellas. These umbrellas are preventing our children from being wet. Each of our gentle boys
received plain Black umbrellas while our young girls received colorful umbrellas having sweet
flower prints and other dot prints on them. Now these kids can happily shower happiness in the
rain.

About Pooja
In our recent newsletter we have published about Pooja
that she needs to undergo the operation of her both ears.
We were seeking donations for her quick recovery. But
now after our recent volunteer Eddie (Scotland) and
Poojas sponser, Karina (Australia) have decided to pay for
the expenses required for her ear operation, we are
happy we no longer need to worry about worsening of

her both ears. Very soon our Pooja will also be listening like other normal kids. We are in the
process of taking the appropriate date for her operation. First we will take date for the
operation of her right ear. Donation for the operation of right ear will be given by Eddie. Only
after the six months of her right ears operation, we can safely send Pooja for her left ears
operation. We all wish our little Pooja best wishes and are praying for her good health.
