Summer 2 Week 5
Good Bye and Good Luck!
Today we said good bye to lots of our Y6 children who are starting at Horizon
Community College on Monday! I cant believe how quickly the last 7 years has
goneit seems like yesterday that they were all in F2! It has been an absolute
privilege to watch them mature this year in the care of Miss Woodward, Mrs Har-
ris and Mrs Lockwood. I know they will all be a huge success and I we are ex-
tremely proud of them all. Good luck!
School Driveway!
Please can I remind all
parents/carers and
staff about driving at
an
appropriate speed up
the school driveway.

Sports Day!
What a fantastic year of sport weve had at Worsbrough this yearall culminat-
ing in yesterdays fantastic sports day! It was great to have our traditional for-
mat back and were delighted with the contribution and attendance of parents as
well as the fantastic commitment from our amazing learners! A huge thank you
to Miss Johnson for all her efforts yesterday and over the course of the year!
I cant wait to watch for next years sporting successes!


Summer Fair!
Thank you to all parents, carers and
staff who supported the summer fair
stalls yesterday afternoon! A special
thanks to Mrs Grainger and PC Walshaw
who volunteered to go in the stocks! :)
And of course to Lisawithout who
these events just wouldnt happen!
Kitchen Closure
Just a reminder that from today the
school kitchen will be closed until
September to allow for the
refurbishment . Until then only
sandwiches will be on offer. These need
to be ordered.

WCGT Tickets
Will be on sale from Tuesday 8 July at 1.00
per ticket, 2 tickets per family.

Year 6 Trips Galore!
Year 6 have packed in the activity this week! After a
fantastic day at Wentworth Castle on Monday, where
they created to some art work to celebrate the Tour
De France they whizzed down for a day at Alton Tow-
ers on Tuesday and THEN spent Wednesday with Gilly
at Forest Schools! What at last week!


Information sharing evening!
Our next information evening for new
starters is on Monday July 7th 2014.



New Classes!
Dont forget from Monday your child
will be moving up into their new
classes! Children will be welcomed in
through their new classroom doors
and leave from here too. If you have
any questions or queries please call in
Free School Dinners at KS1
From September ALL children in KS1 will
be eligible for a free school dinner. We
would strongly encourage parents and
carers to take up this offer. For more in-
formation please contact Mrs Billingham in
the office.
