Peaches, Nectarines, Red and Black Plums, Pluots and Apricots: Peak season contnues for fresh stone fruits from California. Great color, texture, sugar content and unbeatable prices! Galia Melons, Canary and Orange Flesh Honey- dews: A delectable array of mixed melons is in stock at good prices.
Cantaloupes and Honey- dews: Prices have backed of the recent highs due to beter supplies from the west.
Cucumbers: Parker Farms is sending us great product!
Green Leaf, Red Leaf and Boston Letuce: Good harvest weather in the west is boding well for these leafy items.
WATCH Lemons: Very actve and higher prices.
Romaine Hearts and Iceberg Letuce: Higher demand and tghter supplies driving up prices. Green Onions and Cilant- ro: The wet items have spiked dramatcally this week and the market is very actve.
Red, Yellow and Orange Peppers: Contnued very high prices for all three colors for both domestc and 11 lb. imported yellows.
Brussels Sprouts: Very ex- citng market which had been down for a couple of weeks but now has spiked back up.
Caulifower: Sparse producton is causing market to be high and tght.
Celery: Since producton has ended in Oxnard, the trek up the California coast to Santa Maria and Salinas is not with- out issues causing prices to increase. Heirloom Tomatoes: Local producton has not arrived in quanttes, so prices are high. KEEP IN MIND Grapes: Reds are a bit higher than other varietes, but all have high sugar content and excellent quality. We have champagne grapes, too. Strawberries: There is no real change on berriesthey are all outstanding for sweetness and appearance. The y are currently coming out of Watsonville. Cherries: We now have Rainiers in stock and the abundant crop of high quality cherries has now come down somewhat in price. Raspberries: There are no prob- lems on supply but the price has remained stubbornly high. Oranges and Grapefruit: Stable prices. Avocados: Steady prices. Broccoli and Broccoli Crowns: The price is down a bit, but not at good levels yet. No yellow wax beans, though. Eggplant and Green Peppers: We are receiving tremendous quality and abundant supplies from North Carolina on both of these succulent veggies!
