Hello everyone,
It seems so nice for summer to finally be here. This past winter and spring were not the best seasons for golf. With the warmer weather I hope
to see all of our members out on the course. We have a number of events coming up in the coming months. On July 4th we have our annual Par-
ent/Child tournament. This will start at 10:00 a.m. The cost is $10.00 per child plus cart fee for the parents. Also on July 4th, we will have our
Scramble. This is open to any member 18 years of age and older. The cost of this is $25.00 and includes cart fee, drinks on course, and prizes.
On July 12th we have our Second Annual 4 Man Blind Draw. The format will be a best 3 ball gross scores combined. The cost is $40.00 per
player and includes cart fee, drinks on course, prime rib dinner after play, and prizes. The teams will be drawn out at 8:00 am. Calcutta will start
at 9:00 with a shotgun start at 10:00. Dinner will follow the conclusion of play. On August 2-3, we will hold our Jack-Jill Invitational. The entry fee
is $80.00 per player and includes cart fee, drinks on course, tee prize, dinner both days, and prizes. Shotgun start both days with play beginning
at 12:00 pm Saturday and 10:00 am on Sunday.
Our Wednesday Night Scrambles are back. They start each Wednesday afternoon at 6:00 PM. They are open to any member 18 years of age
and older. These are 9 Hole tournaments and a lot of fun and a great way of meeting new members. If you are interested in participating please
call the golf shop by 5:30 pm each Wednesday to sign up.
The Eastern NC Jr Golf League will be kicking off its season very soon. These are open to any Jr golfers age 10-18 that are members here at
MCC. These events are only 9 Hole events and are a great way to introduce kids to competitive golf. All matches start at 9:00 am. Here is a
schedule of our matches this year...July 7 @Maccripine CC, July 14 @Ayden CC, July 21 @Farmville CC, July 28 @Ironwood CC, August 4 @
Cutter Creek GC.
I hope everyone has a fantastic summer at Maccripine and we look forward to seeing you out on the course soon.
Thanks,
Tommie

Hello Everyone!
We hope that all of you have been enjoying the warm weather. With Summer in full swing were sure higher temperatures are on the way.
We have several tournaments and events planned for the next two months. Our first tournament will be over the July 4th holiday. We will be start-
ing with the parent/child in the morning. This will be a nine hole superball. Hot dogs, baked beans, chips, desert, and drink will be included for all
participants. If you want to just join us for lunch, the charge will be $5.00/person. The four person superball will be held in the afternoon. A meal
catered by BR will be provided for all participants. Again, if you want to join us for just the meal, the charge will be $10.00/person. Contact Ms.
Joyce at 827-5636 to make your reservations.
July 12th will be our four man, blind draw tournament for members only. As with last year, my father, Vaden Hartley, has agreed to make a dona-
tion into the Calcutta money. Come on out, buy the right team and win some money! The tournament times area as follows:
8:00am - Drawing of the four man teams 9:00am - Calcutta begins (buying of the teams)
10:00 am - Begin playing (shotgun start) 2:00pm - Prime Rib to be served
August 2nd & 3rd will be our Jack and Jill tournament. Grab a partner and come out and enjoy two days of superball. Details for this tournament
will be posted by the beginning of July.
One other thing we would like to mention in regards to the lounge chairs at the pool. We currently have about 40 chairs available on a first come,
first serve basis. Please feel free to bring your personal lounge chairs in the event that none are available. This is especially true on busy week-
ends and holidays. We do plan on purchasing additional chairs by next year. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Thank you for your support over the last three years and your continued support in the future.
Have a great and safe summer!
Mark & Martica Hartley

Group swimming lessons are now available by Shannon Morgan for
children around 4 years old and up. She will take only four students per
session, lasting four consecutive days. Monday through Thursday morn-
ings, from 10:00am - 11:00am. You can drop your child off, or take a seat
and watch from the sidelines. Learning to overcome their fear of water can
be stressful at first for each child (and some parents), so Shannon ensures
each day ends on a positive note through positive reinforcement and water
games. Total fee is $45.00 per week, per student. Space is limited so
please give Shannon a call or text at 252-883-0177 to enroll your children
or if you have any questions.
