Position Title: Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life Student Assistant (front desk student worker)

Description:
University Center Mission: The University Centers in support of the educational mission of the
University of Houston provides programs, services and facilities focusing on learning and student
development while enriching the campus life experience.

CFSL: The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life supports the mission of the university by providing
opportunities for individual student learning and development through student leadership
programs and fraternity/sorority membership. Within fraternity/sorority life, this includes direct
advisement for our fraternity/sorority chapters and councils (National Pan-Hellenic Council, Latin
Greek Council, Houston Panhellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and Interfraternity
Council) and educational programs/initiatives designed to support the integration of chapter and
community values into daily life.

Position
Compensation:
$7.50/hr; must be able to work Mondays - Fridays between 8am-5pm; summer months; during &
after finals

Requirements: You must be a student at the University of Houston main campus.
Be available for interviews July 21-24, 2014
Be knowledgeable about student activities, student organizations, and fraternity/sorority life.
Start work on August 18, 2014
Position Description: Provide general support for the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life (CFSL)
Perform all duties related to front desk operations
Serve as support for CFSL staff members and student organizations
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook
Able to gather information and work on special projects
Scheduling appointments for CFSL staff members
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Provide excellent customer service
Responsible for welcoming and assisting patrons
Sorting and organizing documents for multiple staff members
Perform filing duties
Answer phones
Photocopying documents
Handling of confidential and sensitive documents/forms
Storage room arrangement and organization
Running errands/delivering documents to other departments
Other duties as assigned
