Business Growth Enquiry Advisor (Ref: EA3078)


Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 per annum

Business Growth Hub is recruiting a Business Growth Enquiry Advisor to provide an effective inbound enquiry handling and
business advice service, primarily through telephone calls, to the clients and partners of the Business Growth Hub.
To be based in Manchester City Centre.

The duties of the job include:

To act as the Business Growth Hubs frontline engagement mechanism for inbound customer enquiries via the phone,
email, social media, post and in-person, delivering a high degree of customer care.
To use effective questioning and listening skills to draw out the clients true needs, investigating beyond their stated
request.
To carry out initial telephone growth assessment to identify businesses with the potential for growth and effectively
evaluate any barriers that may be holding back the business and their business support requirements.
Offer appropriate growth advice and guidance with agreed actions for more in-depth support provided by services from
the Business Growth Hub, or those regionally or nationally available.
To refer growth businesses to Business Growth Hub programmes, the wider offer of the Manchester Solutions Group
and external partners.
To participate and support the evaluation of marketing campaigns by identifying where clients have heard about the
Hub or the services they are enquiring about.
To update the in-house CRM system, or project specific systems as required with client information to be in line with
the requirements of funders including ERDF and RGF.
To make outbound phone calls to warm leads to generate enquiries for the Business Growth Hubs programme of
services, including to new registered website users.
To assist in the production of management information regarding Hub enquiries.
Maintain and develop knowledge of business support programmes (both internal and external).
Undertake other tasks as may be delegated by the line manager.


We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Understanding of customer enquiry handling services.
Able to use open and closed questions to ascertain the customers needs and can identify and act on customer signals
clarifying what the customer wants and needs.
Able to actively listen and respond positively to customers comments/requests.
A clear, even-paced, multi-tonal and articulate speaking manner.
Able to act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Confident in discussing business queries with owners and senior managers of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
IT literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office and in-house CRM packages.
Basic understanding of financial and accounting requirements.
