Job Description


Position: Bus Driver Category: Non-exempt
Title: Part-time Bus Driver Status: Part Time
Reports to: Director of Transportation Classification: Direct Care




Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must maintain a valid CDL class B drivers license with P,S and air brake
endorsements.
Prior experience working with developmental disabilities preferred
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, with
consumers, all levels of staff, professional, family members and other persons in the
community
Must use good judgment in dealing with emergencies that occur during transport



Essential Duties:
Transport consumers according to the assigned routes
Check with supervisor daily for any changes in the route
Fill requirements for maintaining required checklists, prior to and after transporting
all passengers
Keep bus clean and free of litter
Report incidents, accidents and consumer behavior changes to the Director
Driver will check with supervisor as to any program cancellations and or route
changes


Other Duties and Responsibilities:
