UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS

FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CIRCUIT

In re: CHARLES STRANGE, et. al.

Petitioners.

No. 14-5120

PRAECIPE

(REQUEST FOR EXPEDITIOUS RULING ON
PETITION FOR WRIT OF MANDAMUS)

Petitioners respectfully request that this Court make a ruling forthwith in
their petition for writ of mandamus, filed on May 21, 2014. The lower court case
continues to be administered by the Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly and each day
that she continues to sit on this case results in compounded prejudice.
The facts of this petition are clear cut and not in dispute. Counsel for
Petitioners has been involved in ongoing litigation, which resulted before the case
at issue here, against Judge Kollar-Kotelly, and as testified to under oath by
distinguished ethics professor Ronald Rotunda, there is a clear-cut conflict of
interest. Exhibit 1. It will be a manifest injustice if Judge Kollar-Kotelly is
allowed to remain on this lawsuit and this Court must order that she recuse herself
forthwith before more prejudice results to Petitioners as she has been sitting on this
