The BPT/Kosova is called Integrative Body Mind Psychotherapy and is a training program over three years. There will be modules with credit points to ease the control about the completion of the training requirements. The themes of the training are presented over time in the methodology of a funnel. First broad information, then deepened theoretically as well as in practical self-experience.
Conception of man The conception of man in Integrative Body Mind Psychotherapy is rooted in humanistic psychology, in modern deep-psychology and in modern neurobiology, which is supporting the overcoming of the dualistic split of soma/psyche in classical school medicine. The bio psychosocial model for disturbances, the salutogene aspect for personal growth and the spiritual aspect of human beings are basic assumptions for the conscious choice of the therapeutic alliance.
1. Year of Training - 4 modules, total 120 h 45 minutes Goal: To get a general introduction to Body Psychotherapy concepts and processes. Theories from Wilhelm Reich over neo-reichian concepts to modern neurobiology theory shall be presented. Trauma theories and the consequences for Body Psychotherapy shall be introduced. General anthropological concepts to the conception of man and to different views on treatment shall be acknowledged. The participants shall experience practical exercises of Body Awareness in relaxed positions and in active charge. Knowledge of how emotional representations present themselves in the body shall be introduced. Self-experience, mindfulness and reflection on theories are the main goals.
Content: Module one - Basic concepts in Body Psychotherapy - Different conceptions of man applied in medicine, therapy and treatment - Pathogenesis and Salutogenesis - Stress theories - Self-experience of relaxed body awareness in lying, sitting, standing and in interaction in pairs - Self-experience of charge, de-charge, relaxation and blocks in the above positions and constellations - Theoretical presentation and practical experience of grounding, breathing, movement and posture
Module two - Reflections on Self-regulation systems such as the nature, a society, a family, a human being BPT-curriculum 3 years Kosovo, Bader-Johansson, Huerta-Krefft, Cesko - Introduction to psychological development of the child, interaction in dyads and triads - Geneogram of the own family history - Self-care and psychological concepts of mind body medicine - Psychosomatic theories based on neurobiological research - Deepened body awareness
Module three - Reflection on human self-regulation in the brain, in the body. autonomous nerve system and parasympathic/sympathic functions - Trauma theories and neurobiology, regulation of the brain, fixated disturbances - Dynamic morphology of the body according to different concepts - Self-observation and self-regulation: affect regulation, emotional awareness, cognitive restructuring, symbols and meaning - working in pairs and as individuals
Module four - Models of characterology and diagnostic tools - Practical assessment of blocks and stress reactions in the body - Pulsation and counterpulsation - Segmental blocks and functional understanding - Somatic resonance and vegetative identification - Centering and contact - Containing feelings/high charge while staying in contact with oneself and others - Starting being aware of withdrawing projections and formulating own feelings
2. Year of training 5 Modules of training, total 150h 45 Minutes The deepening of the theoretical understanding of BPT-concepts and integrative body mind psychotherapy is in the foreground. Especially the effects of traumatic events on body and mind will be discussed. The abilities on self-reflection, meta-reflection and on the therapy process itself will be strengthened. The same is true for the reflection theories and concepts of mankind connected to the work. Practically the work in pairs will be become more and more important: therapist-client and the work in triads: therapist-client-observer shall be proceeded. A personal understanding of myself as a body-psycho-therapist will start to develop. Another important issue will be to develop an understanding about gender aspects in work.

3.year of training - 5 Modules of training, total 150h 45 Minutes Goal: To experience and to reflect on practical work with clients under supervision during the training and outside the workshop curriculum. To present case studies and discuss these in the group. To give deepened self-reflection of the self-experience process and according to mind-body theories and the studied literature.
