Responsibilities
Knowledge Management : Publishing BOKs under the guidance of supervisor IN ORDER TO contribute to the KM of the
company
Quality Management (limited relevance to IMS/EQS consultants) : Working with project manager to follow the methodology
and capture relevant data in various phases of the project IN ORDER TO deliver a high quality solution to the customer
<For SETL> Relevance in only those scenarios where working with project managers to capture relevant data in relevant
phases of the project
Product / Solution Development : Configuring/assist in evaluating industry micro vertical/service/solution requirements on the
product; documenting these in presentations; creating solution brochures IN ORDER To assist team leader in solution
development, product selection and documentation
Presales : Create and update the basic pieces of a proposal (right template, standard sections); Runs OMATs given the
estimations from technical and functional teams IN ORDER TO assist in presales activities to arrive at proposals agreeable
to the clients
Marketing and Branding : Create marketing material in the form of case studies; solution documentation; solution or PoC
demo scripts IN ORDER TO build collateral for marketing initiatives
Strategy and Business Planning : Performs secondary research for very specific items (like data analysis in verticals,
functions) as instructed by the manager IN ORDER TO assist in strategy and business planning
Issue Resolution (Incident/Problem Resolution) : Understands the issue; diagnose the root cause of the issue, seeks
clarifications; identifies and shortlists solution alternatives IN ORDER TO resolve issues according to guidelines
Build & Maintain Process Repository : In case of identification of new problems or new solutions reviews the existing
repository and updates information in specified template IN ORDER TO ensure current database
Knowledge Transfer /System Appreciation (partial relevance for EMS/EQS consultants) : Study the existing systems and
processes; documents the system understanding; conducts reverse KT and seeks sign-off IN ORDER TO commence the
process of Support & Maintenance
Training & Change Management : Prepare Training Materials using available tools and the design application/ target system
IN ORDER TO facilitate the training for the key users
Deployment : Follow the steps for deployment as envisaged in the project plan, foresees possible cutover/migration issues
and plans for them proactively; resolving data migration issues, resolves cut over user issues with speediness; and
coordinate among other team members for deployment activities; Assist other team members for deployment activities IN
ORDER TO ensure a smooth go live to new processes or product or system for the
<For SETL> Carry out evangelization, training, knowledge sharing, best practice demo - interventions to increase stickiness
for SETL IP, consultants
Validation (system)
(Not Applicable for IMS/EQS consultants) : Documents and publishes test results/Cases to supervisor IN ORDER to identify
the design and development defects
<For SETL> Document and publish validation (or simulation) results for value of the IP from SETL
Development/ Configuration/(Not Applicable for IMS/EQS consultants) :
Configures/builds the application/ process solution in line with the Design Documents; assists the team in requirement
clarifications IN ORDER TO complete configuration and customization
<For SETL> Customize or tailor best practices, algorithms, solution capabilities in line with customer requirements
Architecture/Design /Detailing of processes : Creates requirements specifications from the business needs / to-be-processes
defined;
Defines detailed functional/process/infrastructure/security design based on requirements, seeks reviews, makes changes as
required, presents to the supervisor; IN ORDER TO create a to-be process/function design document;
Creates the architecture and design document IN ORDER TO complete the solution design
<For SETL> Design does not necessarily mean technical design
Solution Evaluation and Recommendation : Understands the solutions recommended and explores the alternatives based
on research (literature survey, information available in public domains, info available in the repository, Vendor evaluation)
builds POCs and seeks reviews IN ORDER TO assist in providing solution alternatives
Diagnostic /Discovery/As Is Assessment : Reads the diagnostic/As-is-Assessment/Audit report to understand the
recommendations IN ORDER TO use that as an input for the next phase of the project
For small projects contributes to the diagnostic/As-is-assessment/Audit report IN ORDER to prepare report
Effort Estimation and Proposal Development : Conduct secondary research/ work with vendors to provide data points on
effort estimation and proposal development IN ORDER TO ensure accurate effort estimation and deliver a proposal
acceptable to the customer and to Infosys
Problem Definition : Conduct secondary research that helps identify the problem areas IN ORDER TO assist in identifying
the problem
