GOOD BUYS
Great Fruit Season
Now is the time of year to
feature fruit in all its
glorious variety. Our
facilitys walls are busting
at the seams with the most
beautiful, juiciest,
sweet-tasting berries,
peaches, grapes and
melons at the years best
prices.

LOCAL STORY:
Blackberries: They are hitng
full stride with some of the
largest and tastest samples
we have ever seen from
southern Virginia near Roa-
noke. Next week three grow-
ing areas will be ready at once
so come and get em!
Blueberries: The warm
weather around here has
accelerated the growing sea-
son and although the berries
are bountful, sweet and inex-
pensive, they are a litle more
tender than
western berries.

Cucumbers: Parker Farms is
sending us great stuf!
Green & Red
Cabbage: Prices have fnally
come down on local cabbage
and the quality is really
good.
Cherries: These
summer delicacies are now
down in price as well as up
in crunchy sweet taste and
theyre gorgeous to boot.
Rainier cherries in stock.
Peaches, plums and pluots
are hot now too.

Strawberries: Nice steady,
good prices and excellent
quality berries are now frm-
ly in the good buy catego-
ry. No stem strawberries,
however as they are not able
to make size.

Galia Melons, Canary &
Orange Flesh
Honeydews: Our
customers are loving these
short season specialtes.
Dont miss out!

er prices.

Romaine Hearts: Romaine
letuce was added to the

There is a very excitng
market now for cilantro and
green onions because of

Contnued very high prices.

Asparagus: Peru does dont
have enough to go around
and demand is making the
supply very, very tght for all
sizes.

Brussels Sprouts: This
teeter-toter is really rocking
now with very high prices.

Caulifower: Contnued
sparse producton is causing
actve market with prices
higher than for broccoli.

Eggplant: Even with local
suppliers, this market is
actve. Quality outstanding.

KEEP IN MIND
Grapes: Reds have come down
a bit and all varietes are great
quality. Dont forget we have
champagne grapes in stock

problems on supply and the
price has backed of a slight.
