Truly it is the Party of Allah, that will achieve Felicity.

(The Woman Who Pleads)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

ِ ‫ ِ َزوَِْ َوَْ َِ ِإَ ا‬

َ ُ‫َ!ْ َِ َ ا ُ َْ َل ا ِ َُ ِد‬
1. Allah has indeed heard (and accepted) the statement of the woman who pleads with thee
concerning her husband and carries her complaint (in prayer) to Allah:

/١- ٌ#$ِ%َ& ٌ$َِ َ ‫ن ا‬

 ‫َْ ُ َ*َ ُو َرآَُ ِإ‬+َ, ُ ‫وَا‬
and Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: for Allah hears and
sees (all things).

ْ0َِِ‫ ُأﻡ‬3
 ُ‫ ﻡ ه‬0ِِ5َ+67 36‫ ﻡ‬0ُ8ِ‫ن ﻡ‬
َ ‫ُو‬#ِ‫َه‬9ُ, 3
َ ,ِ:‫ا‬
2. If any men among you divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them mothers), they cannot be their
mothers:

ْ0َُ7ْ!َ‫ِ َو‬5‫ْ ِإ ا‬0َُُ‫ِإنْ ُأﻡ‬

none can be their mothers except those who gave them birth.

‫ اْ<َْ ِل َوزُورًا‬3
َ 6‫ًا ﻡ‬#َ8ُ‫ن ﻡ‬
َ ُُ<َ$َ ْ0ُ7‫َوِإ‬
And in fact they use words (both) iniquitous and false:

/٢- ٌ‫ن ا َ َ@َ=ُ ? >َ=ُر‬

 ‫َوِإ‬
but truly Allah is one that blots out (sins), and forgives (again and again).

‫ن َِ َُا‬
َ ‫َ@ُدُو‬, 0 ُB ْ0ِِ5َ+67 3ِ‫ن ﻡ‬
َ ‫ُو‬#ِ‫َه‬9ُ, 3
َ ,ِ:‫وَا‬
3. But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered,

ِ ِ& ‫ن‬
َ ُ9َCُ ْ0ُِ‫َ ََ  َذ‬, ‫ أَن‬Eِ ْFَ 36‫ ﻡ‬Hٍ َFَ‫ َر‬#ُ ,ِ#ْ*َ َ
(it is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: this are ye
admonished to perform:

/٣- ٌ#$ِFَI ‫ن‬

َ َُْ@َ َِ& ُ ‫وَا‬
and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.
  ََ َ, ‫ أَن‬Eِ ْFَ 3ِ‫ ﻡ‬3
ِ ْ$َ@ِ&َ َ ُ‫ ﻡ‬3
ِ ْ,#َ َْ‫َ ُم ﺵ‬$ِ%َ ْ!َِ, ْ0 3ََ
4. And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they
touch each other.

ِ ُِ ‫ُا &ِ ِ َو َر‬8ِ‫ْﻡ‬Pُ ِ 

َ ِ‫ً َذ‬8$ِْ+ِ‫ ﻡ‬3
َ $6 ِ ‫ْ@َ ُم‬MNِ َ ِْOَ ْ+َ, ْ0 3ََ
But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones. This, that ye may show your
faith in Allah and His Messenger.

/٤- ٌ0$ِ‫َابٌ َأ‬:َC 3

َ ,ِ#َِِْ‫ ﺡُ!ُو ُد ا ِ َو‬
َ ِْ‫َو‬
Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who Reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.

ْ0ِِْFَ 3ِ‫ ﻡ‬3

َ ,ِ:‫ ا‬T
َ ِFُ‫ِ ُا آََ آ‬Fُ‫ن ا َ َو َر َُ ُ آ‬
َ ‫و‬U‫ُ*َد‬, 3
َ ,ِ:‫ن ا‬
 ‫ِإ‬
5. Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be humbled to dust, as were those before
them:

‫ت‬
ٍ َ86$َ& ‫ت‬
ٍ َ,W َ8ْXَ 7َ‫َوَ!ْ أ‬
for We have already sent down clear Signs.

/٥- ٌ3$ِU‫َابٌ ﻡ‬:َC 3

َ ,ِ#َِِْ‫َو‬
And the Unbelievers (will have) a humiliating Penalty,

‫َُِا‬C َِ& 0ُُZ6Fَ8ُ$َ ً@$َِ ُ ‫ ا‬0ُ ُُ[َ@ْFَ, ‫َْ َم‬,

6. On the Day that Allah will raise them all up (again) and show them the truth (and meaning) of
their conduct.

/٦- ٌ!$َِ‫ ﺵَْ ٍء ﺵ‬E6 ُ‫ََ آ‬C ُ ‫ُ ُ] وَا‬+َ7‫َ ُ] ا ُ َو‬%ْ‫َأﺡ‬

Allah has reckoned its (value), though they may have forgotten it: for Allah is Witness to all
things.

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ت َوﻡَ ِ اْ`َر‬
ِ ‫َوَا‬+‫ ﻡَ ِ ا‬0ُ َْ@َ, َ‫ن ا‬
 ‫ َأ‬#َ َ ْ0َ‫َأ‬
7. Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth?

ْ0ُُ ‫ ِإ هُ َ َ ِد‬Hٍ َ+َْI َ‫ْ َو‬0ُُ@ِ&‫ ِإ هُ َ رَا‬Hٍ َBََB ‫َْى‬7 3ِ‫ن ﻡ‬
ُ ُَ, َ‫ﻡ‬
There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, nor
between five but He makes the sixth,

‫ُا‬7َ‫ ﻡَ آ‬3

َ ْ,‫ْ َأ‬0َُ@َ‫ ِإ هُ َ ﻡ‬#َ َ[ْ‫ َوَ َأآ‬
َ ِ‫ َذ‬3ِ‫َ ﻡ‬7ْ‫َوَ َأد‬
nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst wheresoever they be:

/٧- ٌ0$َِC ‫ ﺵَْ ٍء‬E6 ُِ& َ ‫ن ا‬

 ‫ ِإ‬Hِ َ‫َﻡ‬$ِ<ْ‫َْ َم ا‬, ‫َُِا‬C َِ& 0ُُZ6Fَ8ُ, 0 ُB
in the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment for Allah has full
knowledge of all things.

َ ‫َ@ُدُو‬, 0 ُB ‫َْى‬8‫ ا‬3
ِ َC ‫ُُا‬7 3
َ ,ِ:‫ ِإَ ا‬#َ َ ْ0َ‫َأ‬
8. Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that
which they were forbidden (to do)?

‫ ُ ِل‬# ‫ ا‬T
ِ َ$ِ%ْ@َ‫ن َوﻡ‬
ِ ‫ وَاْ@ُ!ْوَا‬0ِ ْBNِ ِْ& َ‫ََْن‬8َ َ,‫َو‬
And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience
to the Messenger.

ُ ‫ &ِ ِ ا‬
َ 6$َ*ُ, ْ0َ َِ& ‫ك‬
َ ْ$َ‫ك ﺡ‬
َ ‫َوِإذَا َؤُو‬
And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked
ways):

‫َ<ُ ُل‬7 َِ& ُ ‫َ ا‬8ُ&:6 َ@ُ, ََْ ْ0ِِ+ُ=7َ‫ن ِ أ‬

َ ُُ<َ,‫َو‬
and they say to themselves,
"Why does not Allah punish us for our words?"

/٨- #
ُ $ِ%َْ‫ا‬ e
َ ْZِFَ ََ7َْْ%َ, 0ُ 8ََ ْ0ُُFْ+َ‫ﺡ‬
Enough for them is Hell: in it will they burn, and evil is that destination!

0ِ ْBNِ ِْ& ‫ََْا‬8َ َ ََ ْ0ُ ْ$ََ8َ ‫ُا ِإذَا‬8َ‫ﻡ‬W 3

َ ,ِ:‫َ ا‬U,‫َ َأ‬,
9. O ye who believe!
when ye hold secret counsel, do it not for iniquity

‫ وَا <َْى‬#6 ِFِْ& ‫ََْا‬8َ‫ ُ ِل َو‬# ‫ ا‬T

ِ َ$ِ%ْ@َ‫ن َوﻡ‬
ِ ‫وَاْ@ُ!ْوَا‬
and hostility, and disobedience to the Prophet; but do it for righteousness and self-restraint;

/٩- ‫ن‬
َ ‫ُو‬#َْ*ُ ِ ْ$َ‫ِي ِإ‬:‫وَا<ُا ا َ ا‬
and fear Allah, to whom ye shall be brought back.

‫ُا‬8َ‫ﻡ‬W 3
َ ,ِ:‫ن ا‬
َ Xُ ْ*َ$ِ ‫ن‬
ِ َOْ$‫ ا‬3
َ ِ‫َْى ﻡ‬8‫َ ا‬7‫ِإ‬
10. Secret counsels are only (inspired) by the Evil One, in order that he may cause grief to the
Believers;

ِ ‫ن ا‬
ِ ْ‫ذ‬Nِ ِ& ‫ً ِإ‬Zْ$َ‫ْ ﺵ‬0ِ‫ره‬6 َiِ& e
َ ْ$َ‫َو‬
but he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits;

/١٠- ‫ن‬
َ ُ8ِ‫ْﻡ‬Pُْ‫ ا‬Eِ ‫َ َ َآ‬$َْ ِ ‫ََ ا‬C‫َو‬
and on Allah let the Believers put their trust.

‫َ*ُا‬+َْ e
ِ ََِْ‫*ُا ِ ا‬+َ=َ ْ0ُَ Eَ $ِ ‫ُا ِإذَا‬8َ‫ﻡ‬W 3
َ ,ِ:‫َ ا‬U,‫َ َأ‬,
11. O ye who believe!
When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room:

 ْ0ُَ ُ ‫ ا‬k
ِ َ+ْ=َ,
(Ample) room will Allah provide for you.

‫ُوا‬Xُ7َ ‫ُوا‬Xُ7‫ ا‬Eَ $ِ ‫َوِإذَا‬

And when ye are told to rise up,
rise up:

‫ت‬
ٍ َ‫ َد َر‬0َ ِْ@ْ‫ أُوُا ا‬3
َ ,ِ:‫ْ وَا‬0ُ8ِ‫ُا ﻡ‬8َ‫ﻡ‬W 3
َ ,ِ:‫َْ ِ ا ُ ا‬#َ,
Allah will raise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have
been granted Knowledge:

/١١- ٌ#$ِFَI ‫ن‬

َ َُْ@َ َِ& ُ ‫وَا‬
and Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do.

Hً َ!َ َ‫ْ ﺹ‬0ُ‫ََْاآ‬7 ْ‫َ َ!ي‬, 3

َ ْ$َ& ‫!ﻡُا‬6 َ<َ ‫ ُ َل‬# ‫ ا‬0ُ ُ ْ$ََ7 ‫ُا ِإذَا‬8َ‫ﻡ‬W 3
َ ,ِ:‫َ ا‬U,‫َ َأ‬,
12. O ye who believe!
When ye consult the Messenger in private, spend something in charity before your private
consultation.

#ُ َْM‫ْ َوَأ‬0ُ ٌ#ْ$َI 

َ ِ‫َذ‬
That will be best for you, and most conducive to purity (of conduct).

/١٢- ٌ0$ِ‫ن ا َ >َ=ُرٌ رﺡ‬

 Nِ َ ‫ْ َِ!ُوا‬0 ‫ِن‬Nَ
But if ye find not (the wherewithal), Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

‫ت‬
ٍ َ!َ َ‫ْ ﺹ‬0ُ‫ََْاآ‬7 ْ‫َ َ!ي‬, 3
َ ْ$َ& ‫!ﻡُا‬6 َ<ُ ‫ْ أَن‬0ُ ْ<َ=ْ‫َأَأﺵ‬
13. Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)?

‫آَ َة‬X ‫ُا ا‬Wَ‫َ َة و‬%‫ُا ا‬$َِ`َ ْ0ُْ$ََC ُ ‫ب ا‬

َ َ‫ْ َ=ْ@َُا َو‬0َ ْ‫ذ‬Nِ َ
If, then ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practice
regular charity;

/١٣- ‫ن‬
َ َُْ@َ َِ& ٌ#$ِFَI ُ ‫@ُا ا َ َو َر َُ ُ وَا‬$ِM‫َوَأ‬
and obey Allah and His Messenger: and Allah is well-acquainted will all that ye do.

0ِْ$ََC ُ ‫ ا‬n

َ ِiَ> ً‫ َ َْا َْﻡ‬3
َ ,ِ:‫ ِإَ ا‬#َ َ ْ0َ‫َأ‬
14. Turnest thou not thy attention to those who turn (in friendship) to such as have the Wrath of
Allah upon them?

/١٤- ‫ن‬
َ َُْ@َ, ْ0ُ‫ب َوه‬
ِ :ِ َْ‫ََ ا‬C ‫ن‬
َ ُ=ِْ*َ,‫ْ َو‬0ُْ8ِ‫ْ َوَ ﻡ‬0ُ86‫ ﻡ‬0ُ‫ﻡ ه‬
They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly.

 /١٥- ‫ن‬
َ َُْ@َ, ‫ُا‬7َ‫ْ َء ﻡَ آ‬0ُ7‫!ًا ِإ‬,ِ!َ‫َا&ً ﺵ‬:َC ْ0َُ ُ ‫َ ! ا‬C‫َأ‬
15. Allah has prepared for them a severe Penalty: evil indeed are their deeds.

/١٦- ٌ3$ِU‫َابٌ ﻡ‬:َC ْ0ََُ ِ ‫ ا‬Eِ $ِFَ 3َC ‫وا‬U!َ%َ Hً 8ُ ْ0َُ7َْ,‫ُوا َأ‬:َo‫ا‬
16. They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): Thus they obstruct (men) from the
Path of Allah:
therefore shall they have a humiliating Penalty.

ًZْ$َ‫ ا ِ ﺵ‬3

َ 6‫ ﻡ‬0ُ‫ْ َوَ َأوَْ ُده‬0ُُ‫ْ َأﻡَْا‬0ُْ8َC 
َ ِ8ْpُ 3َ
17. Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons:

/١٧- ‫ن‬
َ ‫َِ!ُو‬I َ$ِ ْ0ُ‫ ِر ه‬8‫ب ا‬
ُ َ*ْ‫ َأﺹ‬
َ ِZَْ‫ُأو‬
They will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!

ْ0ُَ ‫ن‬
َ ُ=ِْ*َ, ََ‫ن َ ُ آ‬
َ ُ=ِْ*َ$َ ً@$َِ ُ ‫ ا‬0ُ ُُ[َ@ْFَ, ‫َْ َم‬,
18. One day will Allah raise them all up (for Judgment): then will they swear to Him as they swear
to you:

‫ََ ﺵَْ ٍء‬C ْ0ُ7‫ن َأ‬

َ ُFَ+ْ*َ,‫َو‬
and they think that they have something (to stand upon):

/١٨- ‫ن‬
َ ُ&‫اْَ ِذ‬ 0ُ ُ‫ْ ه‬0ُ7‫َأَ ِإ‬
No, indeed! they are but liars!

‫ن‬
ِ َOْ$‫ب ا‬
ُ ْXِ‫ ﺡ‬
َ ِZَْ‫ ا ِ ُأو‬#َ ْ‫ْ ِذآ‬0ُ‫َه‬+7َ`َ ‫ن‬
ُ َOْ$‫ ا‬0ُ ِْ$ََC ‫ا ْ َ*ْ َ َذ‬
19. The Evil One has got the better of them: So he has made them lose the remembrance of
Allah. They are the Party of the Evil One.

/١٩- ‫ن‬
َ ‫ُو‬#ِ َoْ‫ ا‬0ُ ُ‫ن ه‬
ِ َOْ$‫ب ا‬
َ ْXِ‫ن ﺡ‬
 ‫َأَ ِإ‬
Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish!

/٢٠- 3
َ $6‫ َذ‬qَ ‫ ِ ا‬
َ ِZَْ‫ن ا َ َو َر َُ ُ ُأو‬
َ ‫و‬U‫ُ*َد‬, 3
َ ,ِ:‫ن ا‬
 ‫ِإ‬
20. Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be among those most humiliated.

/٢١- ٌX,ِXَC ‫ي‬

? ِ َ َ ‫ن ا‬
 ‫َ َو ُر ُِ ِإ‬7‫ َأ‬3
 َFِْ>َ`َ ُ ‫ ا‬n
َ َ َ‫آ‬
21. Allah has decreed:
"It is I and My Messenger who must prevail":
For Allah is One full of strength, able to enforce His Will.

‫ن‬
َ ‫و‬U‫َُاد‬, #ِ ِIrْ‫َْ ِم ا‬$ْ‫ن &ِ ِ وَا‬
َ ُ8ِ‫ْﻡ‬Pُ, ً‫َ َِ ُ! َْﻡ‬
22. Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those

 ْ0َُ#َ $َِC ْ‫ْ َأو‬0َُ7‫َْا‬I‫ْ َأوْ ِإ‬0ُ‫َءه‬8ْ&‫ْ َأوْ َأ‬0ُ‫&َءه‬W ‫ُا‬7َ‫ْ ﺡَد ا َ َو َر َُ ُ َوَْ آ‬3َ‫ﻡ‬
who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their
brothers, or their kindred.

ُ ْ86‫ح ﻡ‬
ٍ ‫ُو‬#ِ& 0ُ‫ َ!ه‬,‫ن َوَأ‬
َ َ,ِNْ‫ ا‬0ُ ِِ&ُُ ِ n
َ َ َ‫ آ‬
َ ِZَْ‫ُأو‬
For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself.

َ$ِ 3
َ ,ِ!َِI ‫َْ ُر‬7َ`ْ‫ َ*ْ َِ ا‬3ِ‫ِي ﻡ‬#َْ ‫ت‬
ٍ 8َ ْ0ُُِIْ!ُ,‫َو‬
And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever).

ِ ‫ب ا‬
ُ ْXِ‫ ﺡ‬
َ ِZَْ‫ْ ُ ُأو‬8َC ‫ْ َو َرﺽُا‬0ُْ8َC ُ ‫ ا‬
َ ِ‫َرﺽ‬
Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him.
They are the Party of Allah.

/٢٢- ‫ن‬
َ ُ*ِْ=ُْ‫ ا‬0ُ ُ‫ب ا ِ ه‬
َ ْXِ‫ن ﺡ‬
 ‫َأَ ِإ‬
Truly it is the Party of Allah, that will achieve Felicity.
