How to do a System Restore

The screens displayed will vary depending on the version of the application and your model.
1. If the power of the PC is on, I turn off the power.
2. In a state where the power is off and I press the [ASSIST] button.
3. [VAIO Care Rescue Mode screen is displayed, and then select start the maintenance and recovery] or [start
the (recovery) Troubleshooting.


4. The Select Keyboard Layout is displayed, I want the [Microsoft IME].

5. The Option Selection screen is displayed, I will select Troubleshooting.

6. [Troubleshooting] screen is displayed, and then select Advanced Options.

7. Advanced Options screen appears, I select the System Restore.

8. Please select the operating system of the purpose. It appears as], and then select the [Windows 8].

9. Screen System Restore is displayed, click Next I select the button.

10. I will restore the computer to the state it was in before the event that [selection. It appears as, select a
restore point any, to the [next] and then select the button.
If you restore the system by using a system image that you have backed up, such as an external hard
disk, please connect the equipment.

A list of drivers and programs that will be removed and drivers, programs and there is a possibility

How to return to the state before restoration
If the problem is not resolved even after the restoration of the system, you can return to the state it was in
before you restore the system.
