1. Introductions/get to know you ask each child their name
2. New guest (backpacks)
3. B-days give them birthday medals/pins
4. Blessing Jar
Activity- Invite the kids to write something that they are thankful
for that they experienced throughout the week on a strip of paper.
Encourage them to put it in the jar.
5. Game: What do you know about me? Pick one
child and have the other children observe them for 15
seconds. Then have that child stand out of sight. Have one
or two writers write down things that the group observed
about the child who is now out of sight. This should take
about 3 minutes. Have the child return from their hiding
place and share what was observed by the group as
recorded by the writers. Ask 2-3 questions to get to know the
child even better. (i.e. whats your favorite food, what is your
favorite animal, do you have siblings?) Repeat with other
children if time allows.
