A brief about the event is appended for your reference.
The purpose of
THEME: Social responsibility or being mindful of the society that we live in is not only the responsibility of corporations and social organisations. In fact it is Your Message Our Mission only the starting point; the actual onus lies on each and every citizen. We, as citizens, have an equal role to play in maintaining, preserving and enhancing existing resources by judicious use. But sadly, awareness amongst us is lacking.
There are individuals who wish to give back to the society, help farmers, senior citizens, the homeless and the environment but do not know who to approach and how to lend their helping hands. Similarly, corporations, big and small, are willing to invest some part of their profit in what is commonly known as, CSR activity but they are uncertain about what to choose and whom to entrust the execution of their project of choice. This leads to thequestion; will this be impact investing? How do we ensure timely effective implementation?
Therefore this event promotes the culture of giving back to society and environment by showcases CSR activities companies engage and its impact; social business models such as Project Shakti by HUL; social entrepreneurs and their business models; INGOs and NGOs projects, form a platform for citizens to come and explore what and how they can contribute, inspire young minds to take up social entrepreneurships as a profession.
To this end we request a meeting to take this forward.
We will be in Mumbai on 3 to 5 Oct 2013. Please let us know if we could meet you on any of these days.
