Trainee Low Carbon Sector Advisor (Ref: TSA3227)


Salary: 17,000 - 22,000 per annum
Location: Manchester City Centre

Business Growth Hub are recruiting a Trainee Low Carbon Sector Advisor to work with the low
carbon/environmental sector advisors to deliver high quality business assistance to a portfolio of ambitious Low
Carbon & Environmental Goods and Service businesses that are looking to achieve growth.
To be based in Manchester City Centre


The duties of the job include:

Handling client enquiries via, phone and email, initially assessing the growth potential and business needs using
appropriate tools, processes and systems where required.
Ensuring that potential clients comply with the project eligibility criteria by ensuring that initial eligibility checks,
prior to formal assessment and action planning, are carried out.
Researching specific client queries including: regulations, markets, supply chain standards, new developments,
industry best practice and future opportunities.
Ensuring client funding applications are processed in a timely manner with all follow-up documentation submitted
and verified in accordance with requirements.
To identify opportunities for the development of own skills, for the gaining of relevant experience and maintaining
and developing high levels of market/environment knowledge and understanding.
To review and compare your own working practices and identify areas for improvement.

We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Experience within similar role.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
High level interpersonal, communication and networking skills; able to develop credibility to businesses
The ability to produce professional written reports that explain relevant issues to internal team members and client
businesses
Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills
Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems,
spreadsheets, diary management, and e-mail.
The ability to develop up-to-date LCEGS(low carbon & environmental goods) sector and market knowledge.
The ability to identify opportunities and to be innovative.
