All of our products comply with ISO 9001
and ISO 14001 and are CE-certified (No.
336-CPD-09686). Sapa has a wide range
of aluminium light poles that comply
with the European passive safety norm,
EN-12767. Therefore you can be sure that
you always receive a top quality product.
Maintenance free
The natural properties of aluminium mean
that no additional surface protection such
as painting is necessary. This represents a
considerable saving in maintenance costs
and also makes a positive contribution
to the environment. Experience tells us
that aluminium light poles can have a life
expectancy of over 50 years.
The strongest option
A major technological development
by Sapa Pole Products is the internal
reinforcement profile. This patented
profile gives extra strength to the section
around the door area. The pre-stressed
reinforcement profile is also internally
welded against the back of the pole. This
solution is stronger than class 5 as stated
in the European norm the EN 40-3-3.
Independent scientific research shows
that besides the tension, the effect of
torsion is also reduced.
Easy access
With the introduction of the double sliding
lock, Sapa has put an end to doors that
stick or jam. The door section of our pole
is easy to operate and lasts the lifetime
of the pole. We are also able to offer a
special developed vandal-proof Alulock
which can only be opened with a special
Alulock key.
Durable solutions
The innovative, environmentally friendly
Ground level protector, provides the pole
with extra protection at ground level,
against mechanical damage where it
is most needed. The PP Ground level
protector is also available separately
(for Sapa poles) and can easily be
mounted by yourself.
Long life expectancy
Working in cooperation with the inter-
nationally recognized institute for scientific
research, TNO, Sapa has conducted a
series of investigations. Our exaggerated
testing program (Report 2003-BC-R0035/
MLJ), which simulated 25 years in ground
over an 8 week period, compared a wide
range of different types of root protection
solutions. The results proved that the best
alternative is the use of corrosion protective
tape combined with a poly pro py lene
protective cap on the foot of the pole.
Sustainable and
environmental friendly
Aluminium poles are completely recyclable.
Since the recycling of aluminium consumes
little energy, 95% of the energy that would
be consumed to make primary aluminium
is saved. Aluminium can be recycled time
after time endlessly with no loss of quality.
Another positive aspect is the fact that
recycling is also financially advantageous.
Historically, the recoverable value at the
end of a poles life is 15% of the initial
purchase price. All Sapa poles consist of
a minimum of 95% recycled aluminium.
This is one of the reasons why Sapa has
obtained a Cradle-to-Cradle

certificate
silver.

your own design and turning it into a functional,
decorative light pole. The Application Center of
Sapa Pole Products combines the knowledge
of aluminium profiles, together with cutting edge
light pole designs, to create a total solution.
