Board Member 2007-present, Chairman 2008-present, Internship Spring 2011, Citizens
for a Clean Lynchburg
Coordinate with Public Works, March on Litter 2011-2014, this event is attended
by approximately 100 citizens each year and helps remove 4 tons of litter from
Lynchburgs streets in three hours.
Investigate and resolve community environmental matters related to illegal
dumping while adhering to appropriate City and State codes and utilizing fair,
honest, consistent enforcement practices in assessing and handling each situation.
2010 developed and implemented Report a Litterer program. Partnership with
Lynchburg City Police Department
April 2009 and June 2010 Rain Barrel workshop. Taught citizens how to convert
food grade barrels to either rain barrels or compost barrels.
August 2012 & 2013 Stream Clean Up with Lynchburg College Freshmen

2011 Blackwater Creek near Sandusky Park
15 tires and over 15 bags of trash removed from mile stretch of
stream
2013 Fox Creek near College Lake
5 tires, 1 shopping cart, a lawnmower, a gas tank and over 30 bags
of trash removed. We discovered and remediated an illegal dump
site in the process.
