FUNDRAISING LETTER

Dear Jason,


On 15th October, I will be beginning a 5k marathon, from the obelisc to plaza de mayo in
support of Un techo para m pais, the charity for homeless people in Argentina .
In Argentina a lot of people live on the streets or in bad housing. There are several
places in the country, for example in Buenos Aires, where people are living in emergency
housing waiting for a permanent house. This houses have a bad construction, therefore
people live in damp and infested places. Most of the children and newborns have ills and
infections. However, the main problem is that the government dont do what they
promised.
Un techo para mi pais make houses with the help of people. Right now, more than
7000 houses have been built, and we expect that by 2015 10.000 houses will have been
built.
I am asking each person who gets this letter to come to the marathon and bring an
amount of money, anything will be accepted. If you dont want to bring money you can
bring food.

Description of a place

Carilo is a tiny beach town in the south of Buenos Aires. Is 350 kilometres from the
big city. And is only 100 kilometres from the most famous beach town in Argentina, Mar
del Plata.
Carilo is famous for having an amazing forest and a beautiful beach.
The downtown is sourrounded by pines and a bast vegetation. There is only one
road made of paving, and that is because it is the main road which goes all around the
town. The others streets are of sand. Because of that you need to be careful with your car.
The beach is very long and safe for kids. There are dunes with some local vegetation.
If you go to Carilo, you must try some of the restaurants in the beach and eat
seafood, is delicious! If you have the appropiate car you can go beyond the important
beachs, and you will find lonely ones where you can relax and have a fascinating day with
your family. Also in downtown there is a place to shopping, and is very unique and pretty
because is in the forest.
You should visit Carilo if you want to relax and have a nice time in the beach. Is a
very quiet place for that. And if you have children Im sure they are going to have many
adventures in the forest!
