The 500S CPU is designed as a PCI card for the PC.
This is a slot PLC with SPEED7 technology.
500S CPUs are generally fitted with an internal Ethernet interface (via a PCI interface)
for PG/OP communication.
The OPC server for communication between the CPU and PC is of course always included.
Also with the 500S the integrated work memory can be expanded up to 8 MB with the VIPA
MemoryManagement (memory expansion concept).
500S is of course functional even when the PC is turned off.
