FINISHING LINE

Bar soap finishing is the final process-
ing step for the production of standard,
super-fatted, translucent, soap/synthe-
tic (combo), and synthetic products into
a solid bar (tabled form). Bar soap fin-
ishing consists of mixing the main base
with minor liquid and solid ingredients,
followed by refining the fully formulated
mixture into a uniform, homogeneous
product, extruding into a continuous
slug (billet) form, cutting into individual
length slugs, and stamping into a final
predetermined weight and shape bar
(tablet) ready for packaging.

A theoretical and practical review, AOCS
press, Champaign, Illinois, 1996, pp.
243.

Soaptec produces all the machines
needed for the finishing line.

The range of the mixers includes the
AM series, with opened blade and bot-
tom product discharge through a pneu-
matic gate.

The DASM series with a double arm
sigma blade and the product discharge
of the product from the bottom of the
tank through the pneumatic gate and
with discharge by means of worm lo-
cated on the bottom of the tank.

The range of roll mills includes the me-
chanic roll mills with three rolls series
M, built in five different sizes for differ-
ent productions. For productions up to
2500 kg/h and 4000 kg/h we propose
respectively the M-320 and the M-400
with hydraulic system for the opening
and closing of the rolls.

The wide range of plodders equipped
with refiners and vacuum plodders in
single-worm and twin worm versions, in
a single/double or triple stage. The
length /diameter ratio of the barrel is 4.
The worms rotation speed is always
driven by the inverter.

On request, there are various op-
tional: the plodders can be fitted
with various optional systems such
as cooling water temperature regu-
lation system by Turboflow, inde-
pendently driven knifes for pellets
for length variation, hydraulic lock-
ing system for the drilled plate in-
stead of traditional eye bolts.

Out of Soaptec cutters EMC is the
most advanced and can be supplied
in different versions:

EMC-1 with cut height 80 mm
EMC-1L with cut height 100 mm
EMC-H with cut height 50 mm
Both machines can be supllied in
single version (to handle a single
line of soap) or in double version
with interaxes of 450 mm.
The blade movement which follows
the bar extruded by the plodder, is
guided by a dedicated cam group,
driven by a brushless motor
through connected to a precision
gearbox.
In the MBC-1 cutter, is different.
Vertical component of the motion is
given by its brushless motor and its
drive. The horizontal movement is
obtained by the soap bar itself.
The cutter MBC-P is a single blade
pneumatic cutter, mostly used for
the cut of the soap bars subse-
quently fed to the stamper.

Multi Flash Stamper MFS is a series
of vertical stampers of the last gen-
eration. This series of machines has
been developed by putting together
our ideas thus positive experiences
obtaining an innovative and reliable
result. The MFS stampers are com-
pleted with interface with touch
screen which permits a simple and
intuitive control of all the opera-
tional parameters.
The movements of in fed suction
pads, the discharge suction pads
and the rotation of the main man-
drel are obtained by sealed cam
boxes that are maintenance free.
