Local Duval County Leaders Rally Around Paul Renner for House District 15
What Local Leaders are Saying About Renner

Jacksonville, Fla. Republican Candidate Paul Renner today announced that several local Duval County
leaders have joined State Senator John Thrasher (R-St. Augustine), State Representative Daniel Davis (R-
Jacksonville) and Jacksonville Sheriff John Rutherford in endorsing him in his campaign for Florida House
District 15.

Former Senator Steve Wise (R), Clerk of the Court and former Jacksonville City Council President Ronnie
Fussell, former Jacksonville City Council President Alberta Hipps and Jacksonville Councilman Ray Holt all
stand behind Renner.

See what the local Duval County leaders are saying about Renner:

Former Senator Wise says, I am excited to see that Paul is running for the House District 15 seat. Northeast
Florida needs a proven conservative leader who can be a strong voice for education, ensuring parents have the
rights and choices they deserve in education, as well as protecting the future of homeschooling in Florida. I
stand with Paul in his election for House District 15.

Court Clerk and former City Council President Fussell says, Paul Renner understands there must be a balance
between government and business in order to create and sustain jobs in Jacksonville. I applaud our business
community's endorsement of Paul, and I am confident he will be a conservative, pro-growth voice in the Florida
Legislature.

Former City Council President Hipps says, Paul Renner understands how vital the Cecil Commerce Center is
to Westside jobs and, moreover, Jacksonvilles future economic growth. Jacksonville is Americas logistics
hub, and I know Paul will make supporting the development of Cecil Commerce Center a top priority in the
Florida Legislature. Thats why I am supporting Paul Renner for State House District 15.

Councilman Holt says, Northeast Floridas veteran population needs a leader in Tallahassee with military
experience. I support Paul Renner because his 23-year service in the U.S. Navy best equips him to protect our
countrys heroes here at home.

Since launching his campaign to represent the people of House District 15, Renner has received the
endorsements of numerous conservative leaders and organizations, including U.S. Congressman Ron DeSantis
(R-FL), Senator Thrasher, Representative Davis, Sheriff Rutherford, the Associated Industries of Florida,

Renner was raised in Jacksonville and is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of Florida, Levin
College of Law. He served 23-years in the US Navy on both active duty and in the reserves, including
deployments in support of combat operations during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and in Afghanistan during
2011. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and
Navy Achievement Medal, among others. He also served as an assistant state attorney, earning a strong
reputation for his successful efforts to prosecute serious felony offenses.

Renner is an attorney and partner at Milam Howard Nicandri Dees and Gillam, P.A., where he represents many
local businesses. He is active in the community and has served as President of the Jacksonville Lawyers
Chapter of the Federalist Society and as General Counsel to the Duval County Republican Party. He also
participates in a number of civic and professional organizations, including his Rotary and the Westside Business
Leaders Association. Paul and his wife reside on the Westside.
