INTRODUCTION:
EL AM-101 is highly reliable microprocessor based
annunciator unit that is used in Power Plants, Grid Station,
Substations & industrial Panels for providing supervisory
control
The general purpose is to provide supervision in the
process occurring in IPPs, Grid Stations, industries & to
generate an alarm for any abnormal condition by
illuminating respecting LED based window, common
audible alarm by using any audible device (bell, hooter,
siren)
OPERATIONCRITERIA:
The annunciation event is indicated by the input signal
changing fromlowto high voltage level. Each event has a
dedicated display Windowwith user Defined text message
written on it. AM-101can be modified to handle different
input signal voltage levels.Contrary to conventional
annunciator AM-101 is equipped in For illuminating the
display windows the light bulbs have been replaced by
longer life super bright LEDs, thus practically eliminating
the needof frequent bulbreplacement.
In order to distinguish between noise signals &
fault signals, it takes 200msec to annunciate fault window
&actuate the audible alarm.

THEORY OF OPERATION:
Due to the flexible architecture, all the standard sequences
can be incorporated. The basic function of anAM-101 is to
detect faults or events at its inputs, (terminated outside the
case) and indicate that, by flashing pertinent windows,
followedbyACKNOWLEDGE, andRESETetc
Once an input is energized, the lights on the relevant
window start flashing and the hooter comes on. The
duration of flash rate is sufficient for the inscription of
the functiontobe readeasily
On pressing the ACKNOWLEDGE button, the
indication flashing will be stopped, and light on the
fault window will be kept ON continuously. If fault
signal is removed before the RESET push button is
pressed, the windowstarts flashingagain.
But in a special model under above scenario the flash
rate will be half of the initial flash rate, to indicate the
removal of fault
