Place de Bleu is acclaimed for our unique
geometrical design and the elegant look
and feel of our products. We combine the
simplicity of Scandinavian design with a world of
exquisite skills and inspiration. We mix colours,
forms and materials to a design inspired by
traditional patchwork, meticulous in details and
characterized by different structures and nuances
of textiles, cut in different geometrical forms.
HANDCRAFTED IN
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
We strive to keep traditional craftswomenship
alive and celebrate the uniqueness in our
products. Place de Bleu is a local workshop in
a global world with a range of women sewing,
knitting and crocheting on the basis of exceptional
skills inherited through generations. We push
boundaries, redene and reinvent materials and
dare to challenge conventions.
HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS
& SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
Our dedication to work with the best material
is combined with a focus on a sustainable
production. We collaborate with the renowned
Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat and use their
surplus production in our designs. This ensures us
the highest quality of materials, a reduced impact
on the environment and a unique and limited
collection of products.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We believe that behind every decent product lies
passion, pride and a good story. Place de Bleu
is a design business that works not for prot,
but for hope and a better future for some of the
most marginalized people in the Danish Society;
immigrant women without formal education and
experience. We believe that if you meet, and
treat, people with both respect and expectations
everyone will bloom!
WELCOME TO SS14
Beautiful materials, a dramatic and delicate colour
palette and strong shapes make this Spring/
Summer 2014 a collection to remember.
We have found inspiration, in the meeting between
the Nordic cold, grey and dramatic and the estival
promise of sensuality and delight. To this we have
added the 1950s talent for pairing the cool and
solid grey with pastels like pale pink, pistachio
green, light blue, lavender, melon and lemon
yellow. And in this collection you will nd warm-
cold combinations that strike just the right note!
The rich materials and textures in our products
both look and feel like silk and suede, but they are
much more lasting. We have a desire to emphasize
quality craftsmanship and longevity in design. In
tune with the Buy less, but better philosophy,
beautiful and durable materials are all-important!
In this collection its all in the mix, of colours,
materials and textures. Whatever the combination,
the idea is to add layers of interest and create a
feast for the senses; eye candy and tactile delight.

SAMUR CUSHIONS
All Place de Bleu designs are inspired by the aesthetics
and techniques of our employed women. But this cushion
is designed entirely by one of our very skilled employees,
originating from Syria. The Samur Cushion has a delicate and
instantly seductive look and feel that makes it a natural part
of every interior and decoration. Available in two different
colour combinations.

PRISM CUSHIONS
The Prism Cushions is a Place de Bleu classic; a simple
patchwork with a very elegant touch. The Prism Cushion
has been redesigned for this collection; we have made it
slightly smaller in size and added a fth colour to the four
colours in the original patchwork. Available in two different
colour combinations.
