Marketing Highlights
The 2014 Puerto Rican Parade is advertised through extensive, and TV and print media locally. Main Street in the
North End of Springfield MA comes alive with wonderful music, dancing, culture and most importantly, families to
celebrate Springfields most beloved Hispanic parade. During this event, we give you the opportunity to put your
image and your product directly into the hands of hundreds of potential customers. Weve found that creating an
experience around your product really hits home. Depending on your level of sponsorship, your company may

The mission of the 2014 Springfield Puerto Rican Parade Planning
Team is to honor and celebrate the legacy and many contributions of
the Puerto Rican Community in Springfield. We are bringing the
parade back to the community while being more inclusive of all
Hispanic cultures and the broader community. Thanks to the
founders and previous parade organizers and contributors, as well as
the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, this
Planning Team has been endorsed to lead, organize and manage the
2014 parade on behalf of a very diverse community with many
important stakeholders.

PARADE CODE OF CONDUCT
In order to ensure the safet y of our spectators and parade partici pants, al l parade parti ci pants must abide by the followi ng:
Parade participants should arrive at Wason Ave, Springfield, MA before 10 am for parade line-up. (A line-up number will be issued upon registration.)
Arrivals after 10:00 am will lose their spot in the lineup and will be staged at the end of the parade No exceptions!
The 2-mile parade will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and end at the corner of Main Street and Boland Way.
The parade will commence rain or shine.
No person should jump on or off moving mobile units at any time nor should anyone be hanging onto a moving unit.
Entries with live animals are responsible for clean-up.
Please respect the residents and their property along the parade route.
Be respectful to parade organizers and follow their instructions.
NO alcoholic beverages allowed.
Music/Noise: follow staff direction on music and noise volumes.
Vehicles: no burning out or excessive engine revving.
City Officials and Police Officers reserve the right to remove any unit at any time for failure to follow any criteria, rules or unsafe acts.
The $250 for business and $100 for non-profit entry fee must be paid to the PRCC c/o Springfield Puerto Rican Parade Planning Team prior to 8/29/2014.
