he 2013 F-150 FX4 Ford is a truck wor-
thy of of-roading adventures. While the
F-150 is customizable from the engine
to the body to ft the needs of any driver, the
FX4 in particular is a great option.
With an EcoBoost turbocharged engine
and a horsepower of 365, this model will get
the fuel economy of a smaller engine without
sacrifcing power or towing capacity.
Te F-150 FX4 allows drivers to trailer
11,300 pounds and have 3,120 pounds in the
bed of the truck.

Ford in Idaho Falls said I see a lot of people
get these as work trucks because they are so
tough. It is an awesome vehicle.
Despite the number of people who purchase
the F-150 to be a work truck, Helton said the
customizability of the truck attracts a variety of
clientele.
I have sold it to farmers who are kind of
going for the lower end and want to beat it up
and use it as a work truck, to the pharmacist
who gets the 20 inch rims and have it com-
pletely decked out with chrome everywhere,
said Helton.
Te back tailgate of the truck is very sturdy
and therefore heavy. However, springs inside
make it easy to lif and lower. When the tailgate
is down there is a step that can be brought
down and a handle that can be lifed up to
make climbing in and out a breeze.
From the inside of this model, you would
hardly know its a truck. It has a very roomy
crew cab with plenty of seats and leg room, the
ride is smooth and surprisingly quiet and there
are a number of luxury features like heated and
cooled seats, an option for leather interior and
a built-in navigation system included with the
MyFord Touch feature.
Like many of the Ford models, the F-150
FX4 includes all the features and services
included with MyFord Touch.
On the MyFord Touch panel there are
buttons in each of the four corners that make
things easy to navigate navigation, phone,
entertainment and climate, said Helton.
Tese can all be controlled hands-free, on the
touch screen or with manual buttons.
Other features of this model include a back-
up camera, trailer brake control with the push
of a button, electronic locking rear diferential,
trailer sway control, power seats and 110 volt
hookups.
